That Was Unexpected (OPEN)

Finn stood and turned into a firefly, zooming forward into the cave. Keykku followed after, avoiding the puddles as she could. It wasn't long before she ran into a solid rock wall. Finn hovered in the air, analyzing the surroundings. "Look! There is a tunnel that goes left and one that goes right. I vote we try the left one first!" The blonde grinned and pulled her sword out of its sheath, cutting down a nearby cobweb. It seemed to be a little big for any normal spider... that was when she heard the roar.

It had came from the right tunnel. Something was skitering it's way along, slowly approcahing the little group that was inside the cave. "Looks like adventure is on its way!"

The twins were about to go into the left tunnel when they heard the roaring noise. They both froze for a moment and then prepared to defend themselves. Whatever it was it was huge and it was coming their way. So much for it being safe and un habited .

Yang sighed in an annoyed manner and took out his ,well sort of, sword. He looked at Keykku "Great, i think you just destroyed its home"

Ying turning into werewolf shrugged. "the thing could just make another one. Besides i think the real reason is because she cut right through the part where her babies were. Mommy spider is going to get revenge on us." She said in her usual pleasant manner.

I really fail to see how you can be happy about this. Yang muttered to his sister.

Maybe now i will find out where babies come from. If we don't get eaten. I wonder if i taste good...

Are we really related?

Keykku put her hands on her hips and looked at the two. "It's my fault now, huh? Well I'm sure mommy spider can join her babies in spider heaven." Keykku took a firm hold on her blade and Finn shifted into a chimp and stuck to the cave wall like glue. Keykku wasn't one to question Finn's descions, but why, exactly, was it a monkey? Without thinking about that too hard, the blonde braced herself for an attack. Hopefully the stupid thing wouldn't be poisonous... or man eating. Maybe it woud get scared and run away. Maybe it was guarding treasure!

As the spider barreled out of the corridor, Keykku drew back her blade and ran toward it. Jumping into the air she attempted a hack-slash jump attack (whatever you want to call it), but fell short. The spider had stopped. Dumb creature. Keykku got up as fast as possible and followed the spider's gaze to the ceiling. There was a hole that went upwards, into darkness. There must've been something up there...

The twins watched the blond fight the giant spider. They wondered why it would stay in a deary old cave. A spider that big could probably use bigger space, space there wasn't much of in this cave. Plus weren't most spider day time creatures, surly the spider would rather be out side? Maybe it was forced to stay in the cave or perhaps the spider just thought it was safer. The twins noticed the dragon shape shifter turn into a monkey. It didn't make much sense at all but they figured they could ask about it later.

Ying looked at the spider. She wondered if it could talk...normal animals couldn't, at least not human speech. But this spider wasn't normal, there was no way a spider could grow that big naturally. "Were sorry about your babies. We didn't even notice them there, honest."

"You're talking to it? That big dumb brute can't talk. It's an animal!" The spider charged the off guard Keykku and landed on top of the girl, pushing her out of the way. A giant bat, bigger than the spider, swooped down from the hole in the top of the cave. Keykku tried to follow it, but the giant mother spider was pinning her to the ground. The spider looked around and scurried down the left pathway, away from the bat.

"Don't you dare run away from me!" Keykku stood and ran after the spider, trying to keep up. All that did was get her lost in the maze of tunnels and such. She didn't even have a chance to say what she was going to try and get out. All she could do was hope that someone came to her rescue... again. It was too dang dark in here.

Finn, in monkey form, didn't move when the spider tackled Keykku. Instead, she paid attention. It had seemed as if the spider had actually whispered something in reply to the werewolf girl. Strange. Shifting from a chimp to a dwarf, she appeared with an axe in her hand. "Sorry if she offended you in any way shape or form. Se tends not to think." The dragon girl shrugged and yawned. "Perhaps we should go after her? After all, if that spider was afraid of that bat, it may be best just to go that way."

Ying shrugged at Finn's remark and followed after the dragon rider and the spider. She wondered why the spider would be afraid of the bat, bats usually ate misquotes not spiders. It was hard to hear but there was no doubt the spider did speak to her. The spider said something along the lines of: ' Your friend will pay for killing my babies. I believe you when you say you didn't know, so i will let you and the other two leave unharmed. However your friend with the sword on the other hand is not so believable. I suggest you leave before i change my mind. Humans are a rare treat and you should be grateful that i'm not eating you at this vary moment.' She had no intention of telling the others that though, especially not Yang. Anyway for whatever reason the spider was afraid of the giant bat so maybe they could use that to their advantage somehow.

Upon seeing the giant bat Yang mumbled to Ying. How the heck are all these giant creatures living in this tiny cave? First a spider and now a bat. What next? But despite his protesting he followed the others, he wasn't the type to just abandon people.

Keykku whirled around in the darkness, toward the sound of a distant noise. What the heck was that? Was she going to die in this hole? dumb questions. No one needed them anyways. Holding her sword at the ready, she began to feel her way forward. This was going to be crazy, that was for sure. Always a guarentee. Dang darn dangerous dilemmas. How they always managed to arrive and screw stuff up was enough to drive anyone crazy.

Finn walked forward, taking a stick from her pack and swiping it against the wall. The makeshift torch flared to life, illuminating the cavern. It was better than walking in the dark. Hopefully Keykku wasn't going to go and kill that stupid spider. She had already caused enough problems. Perhaps it would be best for hr to just stay in one spot and be on a leash. Then again that probably woudn't go over to well with everyone else. "Sorry for sucking you guys into this." Finn looked around, deciding to go lleft. There was no way to truly tell which way the spider and Keykku had gone.

Ying smiled at Finn. "It's ok. As long as nobody gets hurt i'm fine." She said as her and Yang followed the Dragon girl. The light sure helped a lot. Now that they could see where they were going they should be able to find the blond girl, and get out before any more giant things came to eat them.

Finn was moving forward quickly, wishing that she would've picked something with a better sense of smell. The light was nice, but scent would make it easier to find Keykku. Too bad she couldn't be two things at once. With that thought, a scream, a human scream, could be heard coming from a tunnel. A crash came from a nearby pathway. Which to take? Finn chose the one with the scream. It would be easier that way. Perhaps the one who had screamed was in danger, while the crash came from the source. It was nice to be able to think. After running for about thirty seconds, a pale girl with vibrant red eyes appeared, cradling her head in her hands. That definitley wasn't Keykku.

Keykku heard a scream and threw herself on the ground. An echo surrounded, followed by what seemed to be a loud crash. Dang echoes and stuff. They were enough to drave a sane person crazy. Mumbling, she sat up against the wall and ran her hand along her sword. At least the blade was comforting.

The twins followed Finn silently and quickly in the direction of the scream. Seeing the girl they wondered what she was doing here and how long she had been there. Hopefully Keykku would be alright until the trio got there.

Finn was curious, but cautious. She wasn't going to do anything with or near that girl. For all that dragon knew, this was trouble. Little miss Serafina liked to stay as far away from trouble as possible. Looking around for a moment, she walked over past the girl and looked around the corner. Seeing nothing, she walked back past the girl and out toward the crash. Because there was nothing near the screaming girl, Finn figured that it was just a mental issue or something of the sort.

Scurrying could be heard coming toward her. Keykku drew her knees up to her chest and lay her sword on the top of her knees. Whatever was coming, it wasn't going to be good.

Finn took the next pathway, the one the crash had came from. Walking forward, she spotted Keykku. Something was coming from the opposite direction, however, so the dragon didn't know what was going to happen next. The spider was probably returning.

The twins reluctantly followed Finn to where Keykku was. They were puzzled by the strange girl and didn't feel right leaving the kid alone. It was too odd that she hadn't been eaten by the spider. Something more was going on in this cave and that girl probably had something to do with it. The twins went over to keykku and prepared for the return of the spider or the arrival of something else.

Keykku looked up, forcing a smile. "Thank gosh. It sure is a nice surprrise for you guys to show up." The girl stood and stared down the corridor, toward the noise. Why were there such huge things in this cave? Wasn't that a little strange? Taking a few steps forward, she held her sword at the ready. Within a few seconds the spider was running back down the corridor, zooming past everyone. With a bang it crashed into a wall, regaining balance and taking off toward the direction of the girl.

Finn smooshed herself up against the wall, trying to seem invisble. That spider was going too fast for her liking. Wincing as it crashed, Finn put out the flame and shifted into an abnormally large deer. Padding forward, she gave chase to the spider, the enhanced night vision helping. The spider turned toward where that demonic girl was and collided with the ghastly figure. Finn stared, somewhat shocked, and wondered what to do. Obviously, that girl was creating either hallucinations or enhancing mutated creatures....

The twins backed up against the wall of the cave as the spider zoomed past. Once the coast was clear they ran after Finn and the spider. They wondered what the girl was doing and if she was the one responsible for these abnormal creatures. It was all rather confusing. Was the girl controlling these creatures or was she a prisoner?

Keykku walked after, mumbling something that was indecipherable. She didn't care, though, because she had sheathed her sword and was rubbing her hands together. With a huge scrrech, the ginormous bat swooped directly over the girl's head. Flinging herself to the ground, Keykku mumbled more and army crawled across the ground. Her goal was to find Finn and then figure out how to kill that stupid bat.

Finn studied the girl for a moment, before opening her mouth. "Tell me what you're doing here." Finn's dark eyes were cold, emotionless. She looked a little angry, but in truth, she wasn't. The only emotion was hard curiousity.

"I'm being held here against my will." The demonic girl's eyes gre wide, she fell to her knees.

"Liar! You know that you cannot hide it. Tell the truth, witch!" The words came out as a snarl, the dragon bearing her teeth. It looked funny because she was still a deer.

"You're accusing me of lying? You two!" The girl pointed to the twins. "She's bewitched me! She's going to kill me! Please help me escape her clutches... kill her!"

The twins looked at each other wondering if they should believe the girl. And if she was telling the truth who was bewitching her?

Yang went over to where Keykku was to help her up. He left Ying and Finn with the demonic looking girl. They seemed to be better at dealing with people. Ying so far had shown that she was a better judge of character then he was. So he left the social stuff to her. However while helping Keykku he kept an eye on the girl just in case.

Ying didn't believe the girl either, she wanted too, but she could tell the child was lying. After all the spider said herself that humans were a rare treat. The spider would have eating the girl by now. She couldn't think of any reason why the spider had not devoured the girl. The only logical conclusion was that the demonic girl was in fact responsible for everything going on in this cave. But why would the child would create monsters and manipulate them? Ying didn't say anything to the others. She hated having to be all smart for everyone. She would rather just let them figure it out. Besides perhaps it would be safer to not let the girl know that they knew anything and just go along with her for a bit. "who is the one bewitching you?"
