That Was Unexpected (OPEN)

"HER!" The girl dramatically thrust her had toward Finn. The dragon, in turn, grew angry. How dare that little she-demon! Shifting into a dwarf yet again, she gripped the girl's wrist. Pulling out a small dagger, she appraoched the girl's finger. "I would lik eyou to know that I don't like liars. Dragons are great truth tellers. Now, why are you here?" The girl glared at Finn, trying to yank her captive hand free. The demon girl then transformed into black fog, rising to the ceiling of the cavern and drifting away.

Keykku was glad that Yang had came over to help her up. It was nice to see some kindness from people. When Finn took hold of the strange girl, the blonde was a little shocked. She had never saw Finn react to anything that violently before. Hopefully she wasn't serious about the cutting fingers off thing... Then the girl shifted, Keykku shaking her head. This cave needed a name, and a beware sign.

The blonde blinked rapidly and got her emotions in check. "If this has all played out corectly, that girl is floating around in here, ready to strike at any moment. That's a liitle creepy."

Ying was a little surprised when the girl tried to claim that the dragon had been the one controlling her. This of course wasn't true. She didn't know much about dragons but she did know they couldn't manipulate people like that. When the girl transformed into fog and drifted up towards the ceiling she wondered what the girl really was. The werewolf girl watched the ceiling carefully waiting for an attack.

Yang smiled at Keykku when he saw she was ok. He watched the scene from where he was standing with the blond. It was strange to see the brunette get so angry. Even for the short time the twins knew the two friends, it seemed out of character for the dragon to get that angry. Sword still in hand he went over to where his sister was standing. She hadn't even bothered to change out of werewolf form, which meant she probably knew that the girl was dangerous. You knew all along didn't you?

Maybe.

Finn put out the torch and curled up into a little ball on the ground. Falling almost immediatley asleep, Keykku kind of wanted to kick the dragon. Now really wasn't the time to sleep, let alone put out the only light there was. With her fingers twiddling around with the hilt of her sword, the blonde felt her way forward. Maybe she should start eating more carrots, if that would really help. Coming to a dead end, she felt around. There was a tiny hole in the wall, a mouse hole.

Why would a mouse want to live in a place like this?

Keykku jumped back as the scampering of little clawed paws came into hearing range. The blonde looked around wildly for that mouse, but saw nothing but darkness. Perhaps that girl was a shifter. With that thought, the blonde got to her hands and knees and began feeling around for that stupid mouse. "C'mere little mouse. Keykku's not gunna hurt 'cha. C'mon little buddy! If I could just..." Without finishing that sentence, Keykku latched onto the little creature's tail. Standing, she decided that she should go back to where Finn was and get a light...

Before she could do this the mouse shifted into something bigger. A baby pig? This was, indeed, the shifter. Letting out a slight yelp, the girl fought to keep hold of that evil creature. Latching onto the piglet with both hands, Keykku threw herself to the ground, landing on top of the poor little thing. Shifting again, the creature turned into a full sized pig... a full grown sow. Taking off down the corridor, toward the twins, Keykku screamed as she held on to the pink animal for dear life.

The twins turned their attention to where they heard Keykku scream. Their eyes hadn't gotten a chance to adjust to the sudden darkness yet so they couldn't see what was going on. However it sounded like Keykku was struggling with something. worried that it might be that demonic girl the two headed in the direction of the scream.

Getting worried about the twins when they didn't come back Xander went out to look for them. It was night time now so they had been gone for a while. He arrived in the place they were all together last. Shifting into a wolf he smelled the area to find their scent. Once he got it he followed it to an old looking cave. Shifting into a bat he entered and used echo location to get around. There was no light at all and there wasn't really to many other animals that would be able to 'see' in the dark as well. Flying would be faster anyway if they did end up being in danger.

Keykku held onto the pig, flying past the twins who were apparently on her way to her aid. Oh, well. It was worth the effort. The pig shifted into a rat, and slipped away. The blonde pouded her fist on the stone floor, immediatley regretting that descion. Hugging her fist to her chest, she sat up. That girl wasn't going to get away with this! Looking around again, Keykku thought that she saw Finn. Crawling over to the dragon's sleeping form, the girl shook her friend awake.

Finn awoke quickly, and with a start. Sitting up, she looked around wildly. Was there danger? Realizing that it was only Keykku, the dragon flopped back down. "What the heck do you want?" The dragon sounded grumpy, and really was grumpy. "Don't use that tone with me, miss." The blonde glared at the brunette, shaking her throbbing fist. That was definitley the last time she decided to fight with stone.

"Just tell me what you want/need and then leave me alone." Finn grumbled, wanting sleep. Keykku wasn't going to give up, though. "We need light." The dragon sighed and pushed herself back off the ground. Glaring at the blonde, she stood up. "Fine."

When Xander found them he turned in to his normal from and asked. "whats going on?" He looked at them curiously trying to figure out what was going on. The dragon girl seemed tired and not that happy, he wondered if she had been sleeping when the trouble started. Something was definitely strange about this cave. It was unnaturally dark and even the other senses seemed to be affected by the blackness. This definitely was not an ordinary cave, it was enchanted by powerful magic.

The twins jumped up surprised not realizing anyone was there. They smiled relieved when they saw it was just the hybrid boy.

Ying walked over him. "you shouldn't sneak up on people like that. " She said in a mock upset way. Answering the boys question she shrugged. " Long and complicated story. There's an angry mommy spider trying to eat us and this strange demonic girl who seems really mad for some reason."

"Ying you should know better then playing around like that with him. You know he doesn't understand and takes things literally." Yang said scolding his sister when he noticed Xanders shamed face. He shivered slightly, it was starting to get really cold in the cave. Well his sister and the two crazy girls got the adventure they wanted alright...

"oh right......i'm sorry" Ying said smiling at the boy. "Glade you decided to come."

Finn sat up and rubbed her eyes. taking a moment to process, the sudden temperature change freaked her out a little. "I'm beginning to think that the girl was just a decoy. Maybe..." Finn's thoughts trailed off, and she shifted into a full grown elf. With a torch now in her hand, she walked forward. Keykku scrambled to her feet and looked at Ying, Yang, and Xander. "Are you guys gunna come with us?" In truth, the blonde actually enjoyed the other three's presence. Finn got annoying after a while.

Keykku ran after the dragon, trying to keep up. She was a little exhausted after riding the pig, but adventure was on the line. Finn skidded to a halt just ahead, looking up into the hole from which the bat had emerged. The dragon gave the torch to Keykku and then shifted into a bat. Flying up, she emerged into a well lit cavernous room. At a desk sat an old person, scrawling something into their notepad. Finn shifted again, this time into a brown falcon. That guy was up to something.

The twins and Xander followed the two girls.

Ying looked up to where Finn had flown. She wondered what the dragon found. This cave was certainly strange and full of surprises. It was also driving her crazy not knowing whats going on. She wanted this mystery solved so that she could go home and eat some candy. Being in a cave full of monsters was not vary fun anymore.

Finn studied the old man, who crumpled the paper and threw it on the floor. The falcon Finn flew over and pecked at the paper, the man not bothering to turn around. The paper unfolded, and Finn read it over. There was something about a spirit... as she continued to read, the draogn figured out that it was an apology to someone the old man was related to. The dragon hopped over and flew back down to the ground. Shifting into her previous form of an elf, she stretched and began to speak. "There is an old man up there, who created that demonic girl. Technically, it was once a lost spirit."

Keykku stared at the dragon for a moment, before forcing her nuerons to connect two and two together. After sorting everything out, she looked at everyone. Putting her finger in the air, she opened her mouth the speak. But not before a white hand wrapped around her neck. Startled, the blonde stood in the same pose, only the look on her face changing. This was going to be fun. Lowering her hand slowly, she swallowed. At least the grip wasn't tight.

Finn was debating on attacking Keykku's attaacker, but she was busiy waiting for the right moment. With a move that was too quick, her life would be put in even more danger. Why did these little expeditions always have to end like this?

(( blah. Why do you always have to make me be the one to sort out these things. You create a cliff hanger and then make me finish it.... ))

The trio listened to what the dragon said and tried to figure out what it had to do with everything that was going on.

Ying was about to suggest some kind of game to lure the demon kid out when she noticed keykkus predicament. The werewolf girl froze trying to think of something to say or do to get the demonic girl away from keykku. Remembering the girls reaction earlier she figured the girl didn't like dragons much for some reason and seemed to enjoyed being the victim. Perhaps they could use that to their advantage. Slowly she went over to fin and whispered her observations to the dragon. The dragon was smart and Ying figured she would be able to come up with a good plan.

((If you really wanna play that game... XD no. I'll try not to do it... but I'll prolly end up doing it without realizing that I did it. ))

Keykku stood there, quietly, feeling the warm breath on the back of her neck. This wasn't creepy at all. Inhaling slowly, as Ying moved, the hand tightened by a miniscule. Not only was this uncomfortable, but it was also scary. The perfect adventure. Then again, it was just a hand. And were there was a hand there was a body... Thinking of that one, she took her arm and sshot it backwards, pulling away at the same time. Her elbow had made contact with the capturer.

The girl looked around, seeing only darkness. She was there somewhere. The presene was obvious. Finn notcied that too, and began to sort out a small-ish, plan-esque idea. Walking forward, she held up a hand as if telling everyone to wait. Shifting into her normal form, she took in a big breath. Shipping a firey burst of breath from her lungs, the cave ahead lit up. The girl was running, trying to get away from it. At least the dragon had found her. Turning from dragon to raccoon, Finn chased after her and bit onto her leg. The girl fell to the ground and tried to yank the dragon off. Keykku walked fluently down the cave and drew her sword.

The blonde came to the scene and pointed the tip of her blade at the girl's throat. "Surrender or die, fiend." Keykku tried to seem serious, but failed. She had wanted to say those words all her life. Now that she had said them, she was overjoyed. The demonic girl swallowed and nodded ever so slightly. The blonde nodded back, feeling accomplished, and brought her sword back a little. Finn kept a firm grip on her leg, hating the taste of blood that was running into her tiny mouth.

Xander stood there and watched the scene. He was still a little lost about what was going on. Ying had only briefly mentioned what was happening. However by the looks of things he guessed this was the so called demon girl. Everything seemed to be under control, he would have left if he wasn't so curious about what was happening.

Ying walked over to the girl and Finn. "Ok Finn i think you can stop chewing the girls leg off." She said in her usual cheery tone. She sat down by the girl and gave her a reassuring smile. The child seemed to like being the victim so by simply being sympathetic toward the her, the girl would in theory be only to happy to tell them what was going on. Finn only had only had to stop her from being able to get away, she and Yang would be the audience.

Yang stood by his sister and waited to see what would happen. He supposed the plan made sense but he wasn't all that sure if getting so close to the girl was such a good idea. "Sorry we had to be so rough but it was the only way to get you to keep still long enough for us to speak with you." He said trying to sound as nice and believable as possible. Luckily he was a good actor when he wanted to be, or so he was told.

"It's ok we know ally about that evil man, and we will make sure he pays for what happens. We just want to hear from you." Ying said following her brothers lead.

Finn reluctantly let go and sat on her haunches, bearing her teeth at the girl. No wonder a lot of people didn't like racoons. When the little brat tried to move, the 'coon hissed and lunged forward. The child immediatley sat back down. Finn, feeling stified, took her previous position. Licking her paws, the dragon simply observed. She had the strange feeling that every word coming from the child's mouth was a lie.

Keykku just stood there, removing her sword from the girl's throat. She didn't want to kill anyone, really. just scare them a llittle. She knew very well that if it came down to it, she would like to have mercy taken upon her. She didn't want to be murdered, or killed. Keykku wanted to die peacfully during her sleep, or for a good cause. Snapping out of her slight trance, she looked at the demoinc girl. That man upstairs... who was he and what was he doing? Keykku thought aboutt hat and then turned without a word, walking over to the hole in the ceiling. Finding a rickety old ladder, she began to climb up it.

The girl looked around, emotionless. What would her next move be? That dragon was better at shifting than she, therefore she was no match. Thinking for a moment, she decided to find the correct wording for a story. They knew about her grandfather. They knew about being a shape shifter. They knew about pretty much everything... Finally deciding upon an answer, a lie, she took a deep breath and began to speak, her voice childish and innocent. Was it worth it to get her grandfather killed?

"The man upstairs isn't controlling me. The witches are. They capture your mind and confuse the crap out of you. You can't see where they come from, nor where they go. They olive inside your mind, like your own little demons. They scare me. No one can fight them but I, and I do not have enough willpower to do so. I'm afraid they'll eat me from the inside out. There's nothing you can do to help, so I suggest you just take thier treasure and leave. Maybe they'll go after you jerks next." The girl kept her eyes locked on the floor, unmoving and emotionless as always.

The twins looked at each other not sure what to say. They were expecting the girl to spill her guts to them. Instead she made up a lie and was trying to scare them away.

Xander listened to what the girl was saying. Witches inside your mind...he thought about it for a bit then asked Bob. are you a witch? He didn't realized the girl was lying and thought what she was saying made sense. After all Bob was always trying to gain control over him and always caused problems. Out loud he asked "So how do we stop the witches in our minds?"

Whaddya mean, am I a witch? No I'm not a witch, you moron! If I was a witch, you would be a witch. Bob huffed mentally and squirmed a little, pushing on the invisible mind barrier between he and Xander's control. That girl needed to shut up before his other half started asking more and more questions.

Keykku continued up the ladders, pausing momentarily near the top. Reaching down, she snatched up a small dagger from her boot. Putting the bllade between her teeth, she continued. Pulling herself up into the room, she looked around. There was that old man. Keykku had the nerve to say something, but didn't. She should observce him first... right? Trying to make as little noise as possible, she stood up on the floor. Boy, was this room old.

Finn stared at the girl again, and had the true urge to go after her leg for no apparent reason. That wouldn't seem evil at all, would it? Fidgeting a little, she shifted into a little girl. "Lying won't get you anywhere. Tell the truth. It isn't going to kill you. Otherwise, I'll go upstairs and kill that man. Even if he is innocent." The dragon glared at the girl through her black eyes, hoping a little scare tactic would help. Even though she doubted that very much, she had tried.

The girl slid herself back against a wall. This was dumb. They had her cornered, and were trying to get her to confess. That wouldn't, that couldn't, happen. If she allowed it to, there would be no sight of dawn tomorrow. She didn't want to be killed off by... her. The girl dared not speak her name aloud. She was too terribly frightening. "Fine. The witches were a lie. But there is... someone. Whom I cannot speak of in fear for my life."

"Finally. A confession. Tell us more of the truth, of I'll still go through with the killing of that man." After finding out that it was the truth, Finn clapped her hands and looked at the girl. This was nice... ish.

Ying stood up and fought back a yawn. Despite being in a cave full of giant creatures and a pissed off demon girl, it was really boring. They had been down there for hours and they didn't seem to be getting any closer to the truth. She looked at Xander curious about his reaction to the girls witch comment. He was another mystery she wanted to solve. Ying wasn't bothered by what Finn was saying, she knew the dragon wouldn't really hurt an innocent person.

Xander caught Ying looking at him and shyly looked away. He wondered what was going on to. It really stank odd one out and not having a clue about what was happening. When Bob got mad he apologize. Sorry, i just thought what she was saying made sense...Feeling Bob pushing his way threw the mental barrier he pushed back forcefully. He couldn't let Bob gain control anymore.....he didn't want anything bad to happen. Besides nobody really understood that bob was the bad one not him and if something bad happened they would be mad at him. He didn't want the twins to hate him like Lucien did. They were nice.......actually nice and not the fake nice.
