That Was Unexpected (OPEN)

Bob settled back down. He had better'd be let out tonight or else he would end up testing Xander's mental strength soon. Bob wanted out, and Bob was going to get out, one way or another.

Finn sighed and flopped backwards. She was tired again. She was always tired. Maybe she shoud just give up and leave this dumb cave. That would be nice. Unless this cave held somethign improtant. She skickered at the thought. Stretching, she llay back slowly. This was strange, and kind of stupid. She somehow hoped that the demon girl would run off. Whatever Keykku was doing, she hadn't gotten into trouble yet... or so it seemed.

Keykku crept up behind the man quietly; naturallly light on her feet. She would've been the perfect assassin if she was brave enough to do that. Stretching, she tried to read what he was scribbling on a note. He wasn't boring at all. The man turned around quickly and grabbed Keykku by her wrist. The blonde looked surprised, like a deer in the headlights. Blinking furiously, she stared at the man. It was then that she acknowledged how much she hated being held onto.

The old man laughed lightly and let go. "Ah, child. You didn't think I could hear you? I know everything that takes place in this cave. There is no need to fear, however, because I will do you no harm. I just wish that I could say the same for your friends. Tanya isn't going to go easy on them if they do come after me. Although I doubt your dragon would do such a thing. She knows very well who I am and what I am doing, even if she hasn't quite understood it yet."

The blonde just nodded and rubbed her wrist. It felt like he had burnt her after he had let go. One thing was for sure; she idn't trust him. He had a strange presence. There was an aura or power hovering above him, and it was a little intimidating.

The twins stand quietly waiting for ether keykku or Finn to tell them what was going on.

Ying looked at the dragon as she layed down and was getting ready to go to sleep. "Hey you can't sleep now!" She said in a loud voice. How could the dragon sleep at a time like this.

Yang not liking how long it was taking Keykku to come back climbed up the latter after her. He noticed her situation and pointed the sword at the old guy. He didn't like the way the guy was being. Something about him didn't seem right, however he also didn't seem to be up to no good. Either way the male twin didn't like it when stronger people picked on weaker ones. "Leave her alone, please." He added the please part because he didn't want there to be more problems then there already was. He made a mental note to himself to never go anywhere with the two girl again. They were trouble magnets and they weren't all that reliable. Especially the dragon who seemed to always fall asleep at the worst possible moment.

Finn closed her eyes ad fidgeted a little. "I'm not going to fall asleep... yet." The dragon opened her eyes once again, and decided that the floor was too cold and too hard to sleep on. Sitting up quietly, she looked at the demonic girl. "Why don't you just get out of this cave and run far, far away?" It was an honest question, no matter how dumb it sounded, and that honest question needed an answer. If they could get a little more info about the magic taking place in this cave, no problems would occur. As long as they could exit withot a problem.

Keykku was a little startled when Yang appeared. The old man just laughed lightly and shook his head. The blonde took a step back and began to feel a little wave of nausea. What the heck was going on? Why was she suddenly so dizzy? The blonde backed up against the wall and leaned against it, trying to steady herself. There was something going on here... mind magic? Forcing herself to suck it up, she forced her hand to go over and draw her sword. The dagger had clattered to the ground a little wihle earlier. As soon as her sword was out, it glowed blue and she immediatley felt better. That old man was a wizard. Not one to mess with. "Careful. He's a wizard. He uses mind magic. If he is that powerful, we're both doomed." Keykku smiled.

The old man was in awe after seeing that blade's power. One glance at it and he felt drained. That thing was made to absorb magic. Obviously, it was time to stop what he was doing and flee. Or sit here and fight it out. The gold sword didn't seem to have any special attributes, besides its coloration and strength. "I left her alone, so will you guys please exit my chamber? And I truly wasn't doing anything to her in the first place. She is just a little naive and beleives too many things." Keykku gritted her teeth and glared at the man. She hated being called naive. That was one thing that was going to set her off and make her flip out on that man.

"Tell us whats going on first." Yang said forcefully. He didn't know why but the guy really made him angry. This whole place in general just made him want to hurt someone. He wondered if that was part of the enchantment. The quicker the mystery was solved the quicker they could all go home. Plus he wasn't going to leave until Keykku did just in case.

"Good." Ying said when the dragon stood up. She hoped everything would be sorted before the dragon decided to fall asleep for good.

"I don't like this place." Xander said out loud. Voicing the feelings of possibly everyone in the cave. He wasn't sure what was going on but he had a bad feeling about it. He shivered, whatever magic was in this cave it was getting more powerful. It was possible that the person behind it all was going to make an appearance shortly. At least thats how it felt, everything was so overwhelming.

A crash came from behind them, and Finn whirled around. The dragon hissed and ran forward. Shifting into a minotaur, she slammed into a white haired boy. The kid went flying into the wall, but before he hit it, a surge of wind appeared behind him. Standing back up, he glared at Finn with snow white eyes. "Stay out of this. That girl has revealed too much." The boy pressed forward, but Finn shoved him back. The boy then summoned a large wind, miraculous for the cave, and wrapped Finn in it. Trying to squirm out, she decided that she was stuck. "You'll pay for that!"

Keykku looked at Yang. That was an odd tone for someone such as him. Shivering, she looked at the old man. He didn't seem to want to tell what was going on. "Please tell us. If not..." Keykku swung her sword in her hand effortlessy, and then steadied it. It was nice to be able to show off. The old fellow sighed and scatched his wiry gray hair. That poor old guy... The blonde didn't know whether or not to say nevermind and leave him be or to stay longer and figure out what was going on.

The old man thought for a split second, before choosing his words as he spoke. Boy, was he a quick thinker. "There is a lad; a very pale boy who has snowy white hair and solid white eyes. he looks a little llike a ghost. If you find that boy, you remove the curse from this cave. But only if you kill him. The only way around that is too find a back wway out. I know of none. I'm sorry I cannot help you no further." The man turned around and went back to writing something down. Keykku looked at Yang. That old man was lying about something, she could tell.

Ying still in werewolf form lunged at the strange boy that appeared. "let her go."

Xander racked his brain trying to think of a form that he could shift into to help.

Yang stayed where he was staring the guy down. Keykku wasn't leaving so she must not have been saticfied with the awnser. He heard the comotion down below. "We should check on the others." He said quietly. He was sure the guy wasn't being completly honest but he was more concerned about the others.

Keykku looked at Yang. Everyone down there should be fine... The blonde nodded and walked over to the hole. Climbing down the ladder, two steps at a time, she made ti to the bottom with her sword still in her hand. Stretching momentarily, she turned. To her surprise, Finn was trapped in the air and Ying was lunging at a white haired boy. That must've been the kid that the old man was talking about! Keykku ran up to him and slashed with her blade, which was knocked out of her hand by a sudden gust of wind.

"What the heck...." The girl scrambled to get her blade. Finn squirmed, and shifted into a dragon. Beating her wings, she broke free and fell to the ground. The dragon snapped at the kid, who took a step back. Keykku watched in awe. What the heck was going on here?

Bob took control and walked forward slowly, gracefully avoiding everyone's attacks. He walked up to the boy and turned around, hands folded across his chest, he looked at everyone. "Maybe we should ask it questions first? Trap it and torture it? If we kill it, we won't figure anything out. Don't let your anger get out of control you idiots." Bob sighed and flipped his hair. Turning around, he offered his hand to the boy. "The name's Xander. Nice to meet you. What is your business in this cave?"[/color]

The Wind nymph's nephew looked at the boy curiously. It was none of his business. He had only came for the bloody girl. She was needed by his aunt. Whether or not he died, it wasn't his problem. "I'm not going to answer any of your stupid questions. Just let me go to that girl."

Yang followed Keykku down the ladder and watched the events unfold. He went over to his sister to see if she was alright. It appeared the old man wasn't lying about the boy.

Ying stood up and glared at the wind boy. He saw her coming and quite literally blew her away. She noticed Xanders sudden change. She looked at Yang and sighed, not quite understanding what was going on. The last thing she wanted was more weird things happening.

Keykku, watching, turned around. She walked back to where the girl called Tanya sat. The blonde grabbed the small girl by the hand and took her over to where the boy was. Pulling he forward, the girl set her eyes on the wind boy. The wind boy did the same. What was going on here? Was there some chemistry? The blonde studied them, before the boy approached the girl quietly. There was something going on...

Bob turned around and looked at the girl.

The boy was silent.

Finn flopped over and fell asleep.

"They want you back at the castle."
"I cannot go back. They'll kill me."
"No they won't. They can't do that anymore."
"Why not?"
"It would be a crime. They would be executed. That has been put into law now."
"That doesn't mean they'll obey it."
"Just stay by me. I'll protect you. I'll pratically the king of that place."

Bob, realizing what they were talking about, hid behind the sleeping Finn.

"How can I trust you, Julian? You were the one who trapped me here."
"C'mon, Tanya. You know that I would never hurt you."
"Don't you realize that you already have? Are you honestly that oblivious?"
The boy looked down and scratched his head. He truly regretted that, but his aunt had made him...
"I'm truly sorry. Please, though. If you don't go back, they'll kill me. They'll do it in a slow and painful way. They'll frame me. Please, Tanya, I'm beggin you."

Keykku was a little freaked out, to be honest. This was interesting. The girl wondered if their conversation would continue. Maybe the exit thing was a lie....

Ying turned back into her human form and stood by Keykku. Judging by Xanders reaction she guessed they were talking about the hybrid castle where one of the nymph queens lived. She wondered which one they were working for and what their intentions were. It was really frustrating how everything just seemed to get more confusing. She half wished the spider would come back, at least that was easy to understand.

Yang watch the scene carefully and listened to the two strangers conversation. The two seemed to have been close at one point, maybe they still were. And for whatever reason they had to go to the hybrid castle to meet up with 'they'. He assumed that 'they' were really the nymph queens. He wondered what they were up to and what this whole thing with the cave had to do with it.

Xander huddled behind Finn trying to think of the million possibilities for the queens coming together, none of them good. The queens didn't really get along that well despite being sisters. And they only came together when it was something that threatened all of them and that they couldn't individually beat back. This was a rare event and it frighted him. Something really bad was going to happen soon if the queens had to unite. Bob had long since went back to the depths of his mind. Bob didn't want to deal with this eatheir.

Keykku absent-mindedly played around with the hilt of her sword. She felt awkward. Finn began to fidget in her sleep, having a pleasant dream. She was chasing a deer trhough the forest... her legs kicked a little, like a over sized dog. She began to snore. Keykku glared at the dragon for a moment. She looked at Tanya and Julian, wondering what the results would be. That boy was a little creepy.

"Okay, I'll go. On one condition."
"What's the condition?"
"That I don't get exposed to the sun. I can't stand that thing."
"If you insist, Tanya. Now what should I do with these eavesdroppers?"
The girl thought for a moment. "Leave them alone and help them get out."

Keykku's eyes grew wide and she kind of wanted to jump up and down with glee. The blonde squirmed a little, trying to find a way to vent her pent up energy. Perhaps they would get out soon!

"I don't know..."
"They spared my life, so you should spare their's."
"Fine. You guys have five minutes to get out of here, before I ressurect the spell. Be gone."

The blonde literally ran over and jumped onto Finn, who immediatley woke up. The dragon fidgeted and squirmed, wondering what was happening. After realizing again that it was just Keykku, she looked directly at the girl and snorted. "C'mon you moron we gotta get outta here!" The blonde turned and took off at a dead run, trying to remember the way back. This would be fun. Finn appeared behind her as a small girl with a torch. "This way." The dragon took off walking as fast as her short legs would go.

The twins and Xander ran after the two.

Ying smiled and waved good bye to the girl and the boy. "Thanks" Sure they were kind of creepy but somehow they didn't seem so bad. But maybe that was just because they were letting her and the others get out of the stupid cave. She still wondered what the cave was about, but at the moment she wanted to leave more.


Xander was scared stiff but somehow managed to catch up to the others. The whole time wondering what was going to happen to everyone. The queens had something in store and those two other kids were in on it. He was surprised that they had decided to spare their lives. It was strange since they must have known who he was if they worked for the queens, and surly the fire queen would have wanted him dead.

With Finn leading the way, Keykku clattered along behind. Wherever that spider had gone to, and the bat, she hoped they weren't going to be in the way. It would be best to stay out of their way. The girl was relieved when she saw the light of day. Finn tried to run out of the mouth, but that didn't work. Keykku did the same thing, ony to get the same result. Keykku was officialy ticked off. "He tricked us! Why I'll...." the blonde ran back to the place where they were before, only to see darkness. That little twerp had left without giving them the chance to escape...

Finn was a little angry, but she kept herself under control. She glared at the door. That kid had lied, and he wouldn't be taken too kindly. The dragon growled and slammed her fist into the invisible barrier. Keykku returned, murmuring a few curse words. The blonde was royally ticked, wondering how to get out of this place. Unsheathing her sword, she figured that she would try to repel the barrier; she had just had the sudden realization that her sword had stopped that old man from using his magic on her.

The blonde approached the barrier and shoved her sword into it, cutting through the invisible mass like it was nothing. Keykku stuck her foot near it, and planted it safely in the ground outside. There was definitley something about her sword that stopped the flow of magic. Keykku removed the rest of her body from the cave, and then pushed her sword back over to the inside. "If you each do what I did with tht sword, you'll probably be able to get through, too." The blonde smiled lightly, even though she wasn't happy.

The Twins and Xander did what Keykku told them to and made it to the other side.

"Wow we were in that cave a long time." Ying commented. She couldn't believe the jerks lied to them. She needed to work on her truth telling skills. Now she would be in a bad mood the rest of the day because of them. The werewolf girl pouted and grumbled to herself silently.

Hope you had fun on your adventure. Yang said in tired and irritated voice.

It was Keykkus idea not mine! Ying retorted defensively.

You went along with it though even though you knew they were trouble magnets. We had just finished saving their butts from slave drivers.

"We should get far away from here." Xander suggested in a quiet voice. He was still shaken up from the conversation they had overheard. He was going to have to find some way to explain the situation to them without scaring them.

Keykku looked at Finn. The dragon returned that look. "Well... there is one place that no one would look." The bonde rubbed the back of her neck, getting the slight feeling that she was getting on some people's bad sides. Picking up her sword, she sheathed it and looked around. Finn squirmed a little before adding to the blonde's statement. "That'd probably be her house. It's secluded, in the middle of a wooded area. There aren't any visitors, and no one besides she and I know where it resides." The dragon kept a serious expression and looked at the ground.

Keykku grinned a little sheepishly. "We have a stable if you really want to hide out. Are you in troubllle or something? Was something that was said... did it involve you?" This question was asked to Xander, truly curious. The blonde sighed lightly and tapped her hip. Her horsey wouldn't mind any company... That was probably a good thing. He had always liked people. If they did want to go back she wouldn't mind fixing something to eat...

The twins looked at Xander puzzled by his behavior. He had always been strange but today he had been more odd then usual.

"not here." He said. Meaning he wasn't going to talk about anything here. The two strangers might be lurking somewhere waiting to strike. It was best if they all left while they had a chance. It was clear that everything had been some kind of a trap and they had no real intentions of letting them leave. Xander rubbed the back of his neck, it had been burning since ha had went into the cave. How he could not have put it together sooner he didn't know.
