Two pea's in one twisted pod (Akuma)

Akuma just smiled when the two kids got angry. He was glade when the girl hit him in the head and the two started drawing out their weapons. Now he had an excuse to put them out of their misery. The demon just cackled as he invaded their minds to bring about their worst fears. If it went according to plan they would be so scared and desperate they would turn on each other. But most likely they would just end up going insane from fear. It was his turn to put on a show.

[red]Kane watched and admired the scythe. It was beautiful. He admired its look and couldn't look away. He had always wanted to fight with a melee weapon, but could never decide. He felt weird wanting something he would never get. His jealousy turned into anger, and he began to lift himself slowly off the ground with his wings. His fire growing in heat.[/red]

((Someone's a wee bit jealous, eh? ))

Ambrosia jumped away from a bolt of lightning, inches away. The thunder made her eyes grow wide, made her jump and nearly start crying. Armageddon backed away from a huge bear, one that growled and began to advance upon him. "I've read about this." Armageddon chuckled lightly, flipping his hair. "The author of the book believed them to be illusions, or something of the sort. They are meant to scare you, nothing more. Probably purely a fragment of our imaginations. Although, that lightning is pretty realistic." The boy brought up a little ball of water, one that expanded in size. The wind picked up slightly, bringing some smoke towards him. Armageddon clambered onto his newly formed cloud, and laid his scythe in his lap. He was calm enough, although he had no doubt that the demon had seen past his nonchalant facade.

Ambrosia ran about, dodging lightning, tears streaming down her face. Why this? Why her? Why now? The girl fell to the ground and the earth came up around her, encasing her in the rock. It was a little quieter, and now that the visual aspect was gone, it wasn't as bad. Lightning would be the death of her... she swore by it. Inside her earthy prison, she began to think of a way to keep from getting scared of the lightning. If it was just an illusion... where had the sound come from? Why was she scared of it, anyways?

Armageddon studied the bear from his perch in the Heavens, wondering what he should do. Ambrosia had been eaten alive by the ground, so she had disappeared. Too bad he couldn't go in there and drag her back out. The boy swallowed and had the wind take him a little closer to the ground. That way, if anyone needed help, he would be able to grasp that concept and rush to their aid. The boy looked around, trying to find the area where his twin would resurface. That focused his attention on the other one, the one that was slowly lifting himself off the ground. Armageddon influenced the winds, trying to make something like a downward draft that would keep the man at bay.

Ambrosia made her way through the ground, still crying, trying to stop herself from losing her sanity that was barely existent. She got out of the ground near where she thought that wretched white boy to be, and tried to fid one of his legs. She'd burn him, tear his legs off... Drown him. Electrocute him. Get him off this God-forsaken planet for good. That was going to be one of her main goals in life. Kill him, rid the world of a worthless pest. Her hands and arms were covered with flame, searching for one of Akuma’s legs.

(( LOL someone doesn't like Akuma. And yeah it seems Kane has a jealous streak. ))

Akuma stood and watch the scene unfold laughing. He frowned slightly when the boy figured it out and took to the skys. When the other elemental went underground the demon figured she was up to something and moved away from the spot he had been in. It was a good thing to as within a few moments two flaming hands appeared where his leg would have been. Akuma clapped his hands and broke the illusion. "I see it will take more then tricks. How clever of you to have figured out that it was an illusion, most people don't. However i assure you the next thing will not be." The demon glared coldly at the two. He hated it when he had to resort to actual attacks. Playing around with peoples minds and tormenting them was much more fun. The demon let the threat hang in the air for a moment longer until he used his metal control abilities to summon the scythe from the wretched boy. Once in his hands he would find some way to make it useful or perhaps he would simply just give it to Kane to annoy the kid.

[red]Kane watched him. Water, and fire were never allies. Fire turned water to steam...Water turned fire to steam...Their was no way to beat this kid. They were equal when fighting. His perfect enemy. Kane looked towards the boy. "I think its time for it to rain..." Kane summoned up his energy, and began to take flight higher into the sky. Concealing himself into the darkened sky. Fire began to fall from the sky. Slowly more and more flew down hitting the earth. All fire avoided Akuma, the balls of fire increased in size.[/red]

Armageddon, upon seeing the fire, created a bubble of water around himself. His little cloud slowly descended toward the earth, the boy wondering what was going on with his scythe. It seemed to want to depart from his hands... so he kept his grip tight, hoping that nothing would happen to it. That dark angel controlled fire, so he would have to use the water that he controlled. A good thing, too, because he had a feeling that wind wasn't going to help much.

Amrbrosia came out of the ground, trying to find that stupid demon. She looked around wildly, before spotting him, raising a spike right below his feet. Hopefully it would shish-kabob him. As for the giant fireballs, she wasn't worried. If she got hit with one, it shouldn't hurt all that bad... as long as it was put out before baking her alive. To try and stop the other one, the one causing the firestorm, she started her own little storm of thunder-less lightning. Well, somewhat. The red head fllinched everytime she heard it, but she knew she was safe from it. That lightning was under her control.

Armageddon tried to figure out what to do, where that man went. Then the lightning started coming, and he got his scrawny little butt out of the skies as quickly as possible. Those were a few good reasons why he rarely fought alongside his sister; she was too unpredictable in her actions. She had control over everything... unlike him. But... Armageddon got rid of his scythe and went back into the sky, dodging ginormous fire balls and lightning as best he could. It was a case of reckless driving, all the way up to the top of a cloud, but then, it would all pay off. He drew some of the moisture from the air and created rain, a downpour. Hopefully that would help with the fire, and make his twin put out the lightning.

Akuma watched the the kids angrily. They were ruining his fun, they were resisting too much. However upon seeing Kane decide to join in he wondered how much longer they would last. Seeing that the girl seemed to control earth he went into a nearby tree to avoid her earth spike thing. The demon sat there for a few moments analyzing the two kids. His featured softened into a gleeful smile. He once again used his fear bringing ability. In the heat of the battle it could be useful. If they were to fall for it even for a few moments, their guard could slip long enough for Kane to finish them off.

[red]Kane looked down at the girl, and his fire began to stop. He looked at her. Stared at her. Studied her. Truly the male was his perfect enemy, but if he was the enemy what was she? Kane continued to fly high above the air. He didn't know what to do, so he just sat there and watched her. He had become extremely confused. He slowly began to descend to the ground. He looked at everyone. Kane's feet hit the ground, and fell to his knees.

FLASHBACK
Kane woke up looking at his mother. She grabbed his hand and lead him toward his bed. Kane was only 15 at this time. His mother helped him all the way to now. His father was long gone at this time. Kane's eye's were covered by his short black hair. Kane laid in his bed, and looked up at his mother. She smiled, and walked out of the house. He sat up and looked for his clothes. He jumped out of his bed, and began to dress.

Kane jumped out his window, and began to run to the town. Kane lived in the poor regions. He and his mother could barely afford food. He ran to the town, and stood outside a building. He looked to the ground, and grabbed a small pebble. He made sure it wasn't to big. Kane threw the pebble at a window, after a few throws someone came out from the dark house. A young girl walked out and smiled down at him. She had long red hair, which was usually kept in a ponytail. She was taller than him, but neither of them minded.

The two were lovers, and truly in love. The two spent all night walking the nearby river. Both as happy as could be. The two hated to be separated for even a slight moment, but the two spent all day without one another. They would not be allowed to marry without him becoming something her father would accept....

Kane stood to his feet, and looked at Ambrosia. "You girl...What is your name" Kane looked at her, behind his hat his eyes filled with tears. She was a resemblance to his first love. He didn't know what he would do. He didn't know how to react. He just wanted to know her name...[/red]

(( Mmmh...Flashback ))

Ambrosia flinched away from more lightning, murmuring to herself, "Make it stop, make it stop, make it stop." Armageddon wasn't phased, he just flew down to thee ground and gave his sister a firm smack upon the back of the head. Didn't she listen to anything? The boy shok his head, rubbing her back. He looked around for that stupid demon, a small part of him inside being filled with hatred. As the other one, the angel, spoke, Armageddon llistened in. Why did he want to know her name?

Ambrosia felt the slap from her brother, anger temporarily replacing the fear. She wanted to stand up and smack him right back, but she didn't. The warmth of his touch was comforting... it soothed some part of her soul... or something. The girl looked up at the angel, tear filled eyes curious. "My name should not matter. But if it does, somehow, it's Ambrosia." The red head swallowed and sniffled a little. Lightning had always terrified her... but....

Armageddon spotted the demon, and left his sister. He walked over by the tree, hands on hips. "No wonder no one likes you." The boy brought up a little ball of water, not going to do much against the boy, and had it carried up to the tree by the wind. The bubble expanded, trying to engulf the boy. It happened quickly, but Armageddon kind of figured that it wouldn't do much good. Unless, of course, it was frozen. The elemental drew his sword, wondering if it would even do anything.

(( Well that was an unexpected. Kane had having a past love. lol))

Akuma broke the illusion and dodged the on coming water. He smiled at the boys comment. "Then i'm doing my job right." He didn't really care if anyone did, it was just fun to pretend he did. The demon walked closer to the dark angel with a raised eyebrow. This was strange, he had never seen Kane hesitate like that. He was kind of disappointed since they were only moments away from crushing the little buggers. "What with that look?" Akuma asked curious. In his hands he twirled around the Scythe he had taken from the boy. Amusing how the boy hadn't yet noticed. Although judging by Kane's reaction it seemed the fighting was pretty much done. Still it was fun having the weapon and imagining the boys reaction. If the fighting was really over then he would probably give it to Kane or maybe he would return it.

(( Yea...and she looked just like Ambrosia ))

[red]Kane looked over his right shoulder at Akuma. Then he slowly whispered Ambrosia's name. Remembering it. "Akuma...This battle will persist no longer." He looked at Ambrosia one more time. Trying to study her, trying to see into her past beings. He couldn't. He looked at Akuma, then his own hands. "Ambrosia...We will meet again...Hopefully we will not be in this situation again..." Kane heard what he was saying, and knew it sounded weak, but she had to be his past love. "Let us leave the children Akuma...We have much to discuss" Kane didn't want to sound bossy or anything, but it just kinda came out. He turned and began to walk away from the two.[/red]

((That was a rather unexpected turn of events. Although, it is rather interesting. everyone has a heart. ))

Ambrosia raised an eyebrow, and twitched. Armageddon went and did a fllying tacke, going to attempt to get his scythe back from that thieving little twerp. What did that man's words mean? They will meet again, huh? Too bad she was a little freaked out. Snapping out of it, she took a deep breath and grabbed her brother by his collar. "Time to go, twerp." Armageddon snarled, but didn't resist his sister. He summoned his scythe back, sheathed his sword, and grinned defiantly. "You lose." The elemental glared at the demon, before following his sister. Apparently something was up with her... the boy twitched at the same time as his sister. Something was definitley going on in that little overproductive mind of hers.

(( Not Akuma. ))

Akuma let the boy take back his weapon. He was more concerned about Kane's odd behavior. Once the two were gone he caught up to Kane. " What was that about Thanatos?" The demon asked in a slightly irritated tone. They had the two right where they wanted them and the angel just let them go. This was a rather annoying turn of events.There had better be a good reason for this weakness.

(( bye colission. ))

[red]Kane looked at Akuma. "We must spread the word of our being. Do you think people are going to believe one little child? Kane looked forward and continued to walk, this may have not been the reason he let them go, but it was the reason Akuma would want to hear. "We attack an inn and a child says they saw monsters, then no one believes them...Attack a couple of heroes and the world believes every word..." Kane looked around. He had never remembered his past, but this girl truly triggered something in his brain.[/red]

"Right" Akuma said sighing. Arguing was pointless and perhaps them being alive to spread the word wouldn't be so bad. Still even if Kane didn't join him, he would kill them someday. The demon stopped walking and looked at Kane. "So what did you want to talk about?" If there was nothing left to discuss he would leave and find something else to do.

[red]"The girl..." Kane stopped and looked at Akuma. "She triggered a childhood memory..." Kane was smart but he knew nothing of the brain. He wasnt sure Akuma was the master but he knew of all people he would be able to talk to him.[/red]
