Unlike everything else in this board people are free to reply to this. (though i don't think admin minds people posting in the must reads board if it is relevant to the plot and people have ideas. But you should talk to her first anyway.)
Basically this is for any myths you want to make up for the disease. It is not necessary but it does make it more fun.
When a major illness strikes it is common for people who are misinformed or scared to make up stories about what causes the disease. Your myths can be as ridicules as you want them to be ( like sleeping on your stomach or showering on the full moon. etc.) or if you want you can turn the myths into propaganda for one race to use against another. ( Joe is a vampire but he plays with a werewolf girl Mary. Joe can't do that anymore because werewolves caused the disease by shedding their fur every were. But Mary is told that vampires cause the disease by doing cult like chants. So now their races hate each other. etc. )
