Trinity sat on a rock and looked down at her reflection in the water. A lot had happened to her recently, but the face looking up out of the water had hardly changed appearance in over one hundred years. The hair was a little bit longer and was now worn down, the eyes more wary, the expression more guarded. Inside, though, she was completely different. Her friends had all been killed in the war, and only by chance had she escaped the same fate. She had spent the last two years wandering alone, staying as far away from people as possible. But now she was tired of it. She didn't want to be a loner for the rest of her miserably long life. What Trinity wanted more than anything was somebody to talk to, to trust, and maybe even somebody to love.

Prince Lucien Armazoma had no idea what he was doing. His slow, awkward heart beat was fluttering and then just stopping to thud, a case of permanent irrythmia due to the blood in his vains. Werewolf, slow heart beat. Human, faster heart beat. Vampire, no heart beat. The man silently wished that it would stop being stupid and decide on a pace to beat at, hell, he wouldn't care if it stopped. He figured he'd still be able to live. Lucien began to sense a presence of someone else as he approached the Falls.
It was a somewhat sweet smell that made a quarter of him want to turn around, and the other three-quarters stop to think. Definitley Vampire, but, were they freindly? Lucien's feet trudged forward yet again and he grinned at the young vampiric girl in front of him. "Hello, ma'am. May I sit by you?" Lucien walked up next to her, his werewolf in him nearly squealing in pain.

Trinity looked up, startled by the strange man standing next to her. She analyzed him in silence for a moment, trying to figure out what he was. His heartbeat was erratic, and didn't help. He had a faint scent of werewolf on him, just enough to be unpleasant but not enough for him to be a full one. He must be a hybrid... "Sure..." Trinity said allowing a small smile to cross her face. She scooted over slightly to make room for the man.

Lucien grinned somewhat sheepishly, and plopped down on the rock, not really minding how it struck him when his bottom hit the cold stone. Half of him was that cold, merciless stone, but the other half was squishy- soft, and squishy. Three-quarters of him was emotionless, the other quarter with wild emotions that were always on the rampage. "Thank you." Lucien mumbled, a low and somewhat harsh sound, quiet, but still enough that the vampire next to him could hear. The werewolf immediatly began screaming inside of him, wanting him to leave and get out of there, causing his voice to be that harsh tone, but the others didn't care and refused to do anything but sit there, still as a statue.
Lucien stared at his reflection in the water, staring hard into his own dark eyes. He looked human, smelled of a ridiculously sweet wet dog, and really didn't know of any other way to describe himself but cold and hardend, like a rock. Letting out a small puff of air, Lucien's eyes flashed and, without thinking, his hand shot over by the Vampire, wanting to be shook. "My name's Lucien." The 'beast' had momentarily been tamed, nothing really helping but to just reamin calm and let the dog get over his fit throwing habit.

Trinity stared awkwardly at Lucien's outstretched hand for a minute. Her social skills weren't very good to begin with, and it had been over two years since she had last interacted with another person. She hesitantly took his hand in hers and shook it. "My name is..." Trinity briefly considered using an alias, but decided against it. "Trinity." She winced as his scent surrounded her, bearable but still very unpleasant. "You're part werewolf, aren't you?"

Lucien looked at the girl silently for a moment, before smiling lightly. "That noticable, is it? I'm only partial werewolf- a quarter to be exact. Your a fullblood vampire, judging by your scent and your touch." The boy smirked and stared into the water, thinking about the meaning of the world and his part in it. Royal blood, beast blood, and cold blood all running through his veins. If he was goong to overthrow the Hybrids he would have to find followers who would trust his judgement and want to put him in charge. Whatever it was that triggered these thoughts went away quickly as he heard a crash off to the left and behind the rock, about one-hundred twenty yards away.
Not really caring what the noise was, Lucien sat there silently, trying to get a trace of the scent from the wind. Sadly, nothing came to him as the wind was blowing in the wrong direction. Lucien stood slowly, and looked to Trinity for a few seconds before walking off behind the rock and shifting into his werewolf form- he was shorter and a bit more built that the other werewolves in their forms, and his scent was less giving away. It was masked by the Vampire struggling to reappear, flowing stronger through his veins. The werewolf form only lasted a little while, until he gave into the Vampire and regained his normal form.
Lucien bgan sniffing around like a dog, trying to find some sort of clue as to what it may have been that made the loud crash.

Trinity looked at Lucien, trying to figure him out. She could see that he was a loner, filled with secrets... but then again, so was she. She tried to picture Lukas, her fiance, in her mind but and was slightly scared when the image didn't come to her immediately. She concentrated hard, and slowly his blonde hair, broad grin and twinkling blue eyes came to her. Lukas had been gone for over a hundred years, and every time she tried to remember him it got harder. She was starting to forget him... No! She wouldn't forget him. She would never forget him.
A sudden crash from the left startled her from her thoughts. Her body tensed, stiff and alert, and her hand instinctively went to her side, where she hid a knife. Lucien got up and went behind a rock. She could tell from the sudden stench that he had transformed into a werewolf to try and find out what had caused the noise. The wind was blowing the wrong way, and she cursed under her breath. Whatever had caused the noise now knew that she, a vampire, and Lucien, whatever he was, were there, giving it an advantage. She hoped it was friendly but just in case unsheathed her knife and prepared to fight.

Lucien shifted, shoving the werwolf out of his mind giving into the Vampire. It was nice to have these advatages; to shift at will. Lucien let out a low hiss and walked toward the noise, whatever it was seemed to be walking away. whatyeer it was, the stubborn young man was determined to get it and see to what it was doing out here. Walking slowly and confidently, something like an actual king may walk, smelling and hoping that whatever it was wouldn't kill him. Something moved quickly, running away from Lucien and out into the plains. Now he was faced with two options; stay and wait for it to come back, if it decided too, or go after it and hoped to not get killed. Lucien, unlike himself, decided to go back and meandered to the rock where Trinity was eyes glowing yellow in the light. He had determined what it was, and figured that the Vampire had too, considering how the wind had suddenly shifted. ((OOC: You can say what it was if you want to, or whatever you want to do ))

Something ran into the plains, but Trinity couldn't tell what it was. Lucien seemed like the kind of guy to chase after it recklessly, and it surprised her when he didn't. Instead, he turned around and walked back toward her. Trinity couldn't figure out why until the wind changed and she could identify the mystery creature... (OOC: Sorry its so short, I'm supposed to be studying for finals. You can choose what the mystery creature thing is. Sorry again! )

((OOC: It's fine that it's short, you don't have to be sorry. Everyone has to study for finals so it's no big deal. )) Lucien cleared his throat and sat down quietly, accepting the loss of energy that had came from shifting too quickly. He stared into the water and thought for a moment, then looked up at Trinity. "I believe that, correct me if I'm wrong, that that creature was something of an elemental Hybrid and fleed when it picked my or else our scent. Whatever it was, it took off toward the plains and will probably be back in a little while." After saying this, he stared back down into the dark blue calm of the water and sighed lightly, before standing and walking around in a small, tight circle wating for something to happen.

An elemental hybrid... Trinity stared in the direction it had gone. Lucien was right. She fingered her knife. "What should we do when it comes back?" She asked Lucien. It had been a while since she'd been in a fight, and she was sort of looking forward to it.

Lucien looked at Trinity and was amazed that she was actually asking him what to do. That was something new to him, but he pondered the question for a moment before answering. "Well, that depends on what it's battle abilities are and if it wants to fight. Seeing as we don't know exactly what elements or other species it is, we just wait to see what it attacks us with first." It seemed like the most logical thing to do at the time; wait and see. One thing was for sure; if it attacked him the Hybrid would probably die a slow, painful death....
Perhaps it was a coward and wouldn't return, which was what Lucien secretly was hoping for. Too bad that probably wouldn't happen. Looking to Trinity, the dark haired guy felt like asking a few questions on her history and such, but decided against it and just stared at the water.

Trinity stretched. "Battle abilities... I wonder how mine are. I practice almost every day, but I haven't been in a real fight in years..." She glanced over at Lucien. He looked strong. She wouldn't want to go against him in a fight. If the hybrid came back and attacked, she was pretty confident that the two of them would be able to defeat it.

Lucien looked at trinity quizzically. "I'm sure you'd do fine in a fight." These words were notthought of, they just flowed freely out of the man's mouth. Looking back at the water Lucien began to think about the best ways to take out an elemental, especially a Hybrid elemental. Probably would be best to just launch an all out offensive; not let it get a chance to attack. Yellow eyes becoming brighter, Lucien shook his head lightly and began to think about what he would be doing later on that day.

Trinity walked a few yards away from Lucien, towards where the noise had come from. She stood there for a few minutes in silence, waiting to see if the hybrid would return. She finally decided that it wasn't going to and turned away, sheathing her knife. Trinity had barely taken a step when an arm wrapped around her waist and imprisoned her hands, rendering her unable to move. She tried to struggle, but the person holding her was extremely strong. Another hand grabbed her throat, leaving her unable to breathe or speak. The breathing part wasn't a problem, but the wind had changed and she couldn't warn Lucien or get his help.

Lucien watched as Trinity walked away, looking to his feet after he had made a mental note of where she had gone. After waiting a few moments, he decided that she should've returned by now. Or perhaps she'd bailed on him? Shaking his head lightly he stood and turned. Why not go and see where she was? Entering the woods from the side he angled himself so that he would be able to walk forward and end up where she'd stopped. After taking a few steps forward he was able to pick up a smell in the air. Unmistakabley the scent of the mixed blood of a Hybrid.
Tilting his head to the side, Lucien began to wonder what to do. The thing already knew he was there, so Lucien walked forward, choosing to blow his cover instead of trying to sneak up on the Hybrid. "I do wish you'd make this easy and let her go, but that isn't an option in your mind, is it?" Lucien asked quietly, tone harsh and stern. Yellow eyes staring at the attacker, Lucien waited for an answer. As long as no harm came to Trinity, perhaps he could talk the hybrid out of it. Perhaps he could die trying. Then again, didn't good triumph over evil most of the time?
