Reflections

Trinity stood helplessly in the hybrid's clutches, mentally cursing herself for her stupidity. She should have noticed the change in the wind! She should have kept out her knife! She should have heard the hybrid come out behind her! As she thought this, a voice startled her. It was Lucien! She was so relieved to hear him that she didn't hear what he was saying. Whatever it was, it didn't make her captor happy. It (she hadn't been able to see it's face, so she didn't know if it was male or female) tightened its grip on her. Trinity couldn't see its expression, but she imagined it was glaring. She made a fruitless attempt to escape, then gave up and looked at Lucien. He must think she was an idiot, letting the hybrid sneak up on her! She was a vampire, for goodness's sake! Completely helpless, she could only hope that Lucien would come to her aid.

Sighing lightly, Lucien shook his head and stared at his feet. He really didn't want to do this right now, although he figured he'd have to. Looking to Trinity, then to the hybrid, Lucien began to tremble slightly. Really not wanting to go full out werewolf, Lucien took a deep breath and began to depict what the hybrid was. Vampire and human were the most dominant, the other races were so jumbled he couldn't tell. If it came down to the more powerful, Lucien figured he had a shot. Trying to think of a plan, a idea suddenly came into his mind.

Lucien let the vampire genes take over his body, he moved quickly behind the Hybrid. Tapping on it's shoulder casually, the man smiled lightly and placed on hand on each of the thing's shoulders. To Lucien's surprise, the thing shifted under his touch. "What the..." staring at the ground under his feet, Lucien shifted quickly, not wanting to be grabbed by the Hybrid. That was one of the other races it had in it. Lucien hadn't thought to see if Trinity was released or not, mainly concerned with where the Hybrid went and how he was going to kill it.
