chance, fate, or plans?

Jade was taking a break from her traveling. Sitting on the grassy meadow enjoying the sunshine. She was alone, Hiowie had gone of hunting earlier and wasn't back yet. Jade watched the clouds while she ate her lunch. Not sure yet what she was going to do today or where she would go. But it didn't really matter what she had planed because unexpected things always had a way of happening to change those plans. Perhaps it would be better just to keep traveling until she ran into something interesting.

Alea was walking through the meadow. She was glad to finally take a break from all the fighting. She saw a figure sitting in the meadow, so she desided to go find out who it was.
"Hello?" She asked quietly so she wouldnt whoever it was.

Jade heard someone behind her say hello. She turned her head and saw a young elvish girl. "Hi." She said. She had never seen this person before. "Can i help you with something?" It wasn't really ment in a nice way, she just wanted to get the person to move along.

Hiowie padded along softly. Returning from his hunt. Already making friends? He asked teasingly.

Jade got up and want over to her friend. "I only have one, i don't need anymore."

I suppose i should leave you to alone then. He said still teasing her.

Jade rolled her eyes and shook her head to herself.

"Oh. Sorry I didn't mean to intrude, I was just taking a walk and I saw you here." Alea noticed the wolf and jumped, startled. "I guess I should be going now..."

Jade grinned when she saw that the girl was afraid of Hiowie. "Yes maybe you should." It was funny to her since Hiowie didn't look threatening at all. Or maybe that was just because she knew him.

Jade don't be so mean! Hiowie growled at her. The wolf put on a friendlier expression and walked over to Alea. Observing her silently.

Jade rolled her eyes. "As much as i would like him to, he doesn't bite strangers unless they try to harm us."

Alea laughed nerviosly glad she wasnt about to be bitten, but was cautious when the wolf came closer. She had no idea what to say next, in fear of upseting the girl even further.

Jade stood there looking the girl over. It was nice to see another elf around. " He likes you." Jade said, upon seeing how Hiowie reacted around the girl and how uncertain she still was.

Perhaps i should bite you instead. Hiowie said to jade in a stern voice. And yes she does seem quite nice.....unlike some people i know.

Jade didn't comment on what Hiowie said and instead sat back down. She was still wondering what the girl wanted but decided not to ask.

"Well, I guess thats good." Alea finally said. She couldnt deside if she should leave, or if she should try to talk to her and become friends.

"So what brings you here?" Jade asked the girl. Her attention was focused on the sky and the clouds but she was still listening. Jade wasn't sure what to make of this girl yet. It was amusing to see how she reacted to Hiowie, Alea being so uncertain around her was even more amusing. Although at the same time she felt a little bad about being mean. What could she say? Some people just liked their privacy.

"I'm just here to enjoy the nice veiw and weather." Alea replyed. "So how about you?" She asked couriously and cousiously not wanting to disturb the wolf.

Jade shrugged "nothing much i'm just stopping for a rest. " She layed down and stared at the clouds. She smiled to herself as she thought of what the girl would do if she was alone with Hiowie. It would be entertaining to see the girl be terrified. "So why are you so afraid of wolves?" Jade was curious as to why the girl was so scared. Most people she came across were the opposite they weren't afraid and would get to close thinking Hiowie was a pet or something. Which was a bad idea...she would have to make a random excuse or be even more mean then she normally was to get them to go away before Hiowie got mad and bit them.

"Well, long story short, I once was traveling through a forest a few years ago and a wolf almost killed me. I never quite got over it. What about you? Why do you love wolfs so much?"

Jade grinned at the girls guestion. "Their not bad once you get to know them. Their loyal and caring companions. Sure they can be vicouis but not without a good reason. You were probably to close to the wolves cubs or something. Bottom line: like humens wolves will fight back if they feel threatened." The blonde girl said. She enjoyed educating people about animals and putting their misconceptions to rest.

Alea couldn't help but smile. She had never thought of that before. Sure she knew it as a fact, but it never really sunk in. "Yea, I guess they can be amazing creatures, can't they?"

"you bet." Jade said getting up and stretching. "later." She said and walked away. Nice girl, but she was awfully boring.
Hiowie smiled approvingly. That didn't go so bad now did it? I think your improving.

"You need your eyes checked. You see things that aren't there. So i tolerated the girl for more then a few minutes. Doesn't mean were buddy's." Jade said hotly.

Denial. Why do you always deny your feelings?

"Because they only cause problems." Jade said in a cold tone that said the discussion was over.
