(( here we go the rp with Jade and Oliver. Lets see who kills the other first. )) Jade was at home reading a book in the sunshine. There was nothing to do anywhere today it seemed. Suddenly her reading was interrupted when some stranger ran over and told her about some dragon rider that came into town recently. The elf sighed and looked at the stranger irritably. The stranger was just a young boy who was obviously so excited by having a visitor that he lost all common sense. "Kid you really shouldn't talk to strangers you know, why not go tell someone who cares like your parents or the village elder." She really hated being interrupted while she was reading. That and she hated seeing people especially kids do stupid and dangerous things. Unable to find where she left off she closed the book and decided to check out this 'super cool' dragon rider.
It wasn't long before she saw the traveler. A guy with red haired that looked around twenty. She really didn't see what the fuss was about the only thing interesting about him was his facial tattoos. The elf crossed her arms and rolled her eyes at all the ditsy love sick girls that were now crowding around the stranger.

((Hard to tell )) Oliver didn't know why he was even here, and those girls... he felt sick. He found himself making unsure little noises every now and again, blushing at a few of the comments the girls were making and rubbing the back of his head in surprise. He had a froced and obviously fake smile on his face, nodding to the comments. Finally, when the little white dragon popped up, he picked Ransom up and parted the crowd of girls, walking away as fast as he could. He couldn't comprehend how anyone could be that way to a complete stranger, especially one with so many weapons attached. Perhaps Dragon Riders were a rarity around here? More than likely. It took a moment for him to remember what he was doing. Ransom snorted at a bug, and Oliver plopped him down onto the ground. He looked around quietly, trying to find the right place to stop. Where the heck was an inn in this godforsaken place? Oliver then got into the wrong mind of thinking. Surely one of those girls would let him stay at their place. Then again, he had a feeling that that would be slightly awkward and strange. He wanted an inn, where Ransom could be kept inside. It was Ransom who spotted the girl first, trotting right up to her and sniffing her book. Oliver was thoughtfully stroking his hair when he noticed it. He hoped that the blonde didn't mind. If she did... Oh, if she did. Oliver walked over and picked the dragon up, saying 'No' loudly. "Sorry. He normally doesn't do that. Apparently he likes you. Do you know if there is an inn around here? I'm kind of new and..." Oliver got the idea that he was talking to much. That and he was talking quickly so his words were rather slurred. He hated talking with females.

Jade smiled at the dragon it was kind of cute. She looked up at the guy and shook his head at the question. "There are no inns but since you seem to be quite a hit with those girls why not ask one of them?" She said in a bored tone. The elf didn't want to be associated with those morons and every minute she hanged out with this guy the more everyone would mistakenly think she had fallen for him. The guy was armed to the teeth and looked like he was about to go into battle. "I got to tell you, if you don't like all that attention loosing those weapons would be a good idea. You look like your on your way to war." Of course attention was putting it mildly. Having a lot of weapons could get you into a lot of trouble with the wrong kind of people.

Oliver wrinkled his brow. He usually looked this way, everywhere he went. Only... maybe the people here weren't afraid? Normally arms made people try to stay away. Here... it had reverse effects. The man sighed lightly and looked to his weapons. Perhaps he could make it to the bigger city? Probably not. Where was he going to stay? He looked quietly at the ground for a moment, appearing to be thoughtful.
Oliver looked back to the girl. "Since you don't seem to be attracted to me could I stay in your house.... if you have one?" He figured he might as well ask, and being who he was, he was willing to pay. "You can be paid, if you would like. I have money." He was officially getting sick of talking, and he didn't know what else to do. He didn't feel like having one of those other moronic females falling in love with him and then weeping when he left. That wouldn't go over well with his emotions, nor would he really want to do that to a girl. Not today, at least. Not unless he was extremely desperate.

Jade looked at him slightly offended by the house comment. "Of course i have a house do i look like a poor beggar to you?" The girl looked from the guy to the stupid girls and rolled her eyes. "If you really must you can come stay with me i suppose but only because the thought of those girls drooling all over you makes me sick." With that said she walked back to her house and waited by the door for the guy to catch up.
This was utterly ridiculous. How did she end up getting stuck saving travelers from hormone crazed maniacs. At least the guy seemed kind of normal and not creepy. The tattoos on his face made her wonder about him though. They were very odd and made him look actually very goofy but now probably wasn't a good time to mention it. Though he did kid of insult her...."I got to ask whats with the things on your face?"

Oliver was taken aback. He didn't expect her to talk like that. "Well... I didn't know, okay? Jeez. Some people don't have houses even if they look elegant!" His tone was equivalent to hers, and he shook his head in response. Ransom looked up and tottered, as if he was smiling. Listening to the girl's comment, he nodded. Those girls were making him sick, too. In a literal sense of the word. He followed after, ignoring the accompanying 'Ooooh!' from the other girls. He wished he was invisible.
Once at the doorway, he was tempted just to push past and go inside. The sooner he was out of sight, the better. He needed to start wearing a dark cloak. Then again, that would probably only make things worse. 'Ooooh look at the shady guy with the cloak!' He could never win. When she popped the question about the tattoos, he absentmindedly reached up and touched his cheek. "Those... I can't really explain, but I can try to once we're inside the confines of that house of yours."

Jade shrugged "ok go in. I have to warn you i have a friend who happens to be a wolf. So don't get any funny ideas or you will be leaving my house missing an arm." She said. After giving him the warning she walked in and went to find the wolf she mentioned. "Hey Hiowie. We have guests so behave." Unfortunately. I hate having people in my house. With any luck he will get scared and leave. she thought
I'm always behaved, unlike you. Hiowie commented.
The elf scowled at the wolf before turning to the strangers."Take a sit where ever." She told the guy. She herself grabbed a chair and sat in the living room which is the first room you get in from the outside.

Ransom bounded in first, running right up to the wolf known as Hiowie. The dragon snorted and made a little screeching noise, before looking at the wolf happily. He lay down on the floor and closed his eyes, tired from the day's work. If you could even call it that. Oliver came in and looked around. It didn't seem too bad, although, he wasn't feeling all that talkative. She did ask a question, and he didn't really want to leave her hanging. He stood there for a moment, until told to sit down. So he did, like a trained dog.
"The tattoos are in remembrance of my younger sister. Her life was claimed by disease a long time ago. Back then she was my best friend, the only person I was ever truly close to. When she died, it felt like... like a piece of my heart had been stomped flat and taken out of my chest. It took a while, but eventually I got over it. I decided to get these markings as a reminder to both she and I that I will never forget her." He didn't bother to mention any names. He just stared at the floor in a blank fashion, wondering what could possibly happen next. Although, the threat about the missing arm was rather interesting. It was a wolf, after all. He didn't plan on hurting it unless it hurt Ransom. Then, he would hurt just about anything. Ransom was pretty well the only thing he had in life.

Jade listened and had tried restrain a yawn. She had just wanted to know what the tattoos were for. She didn't want to hear his life story. "To bad about your sister. I'm not sure i would want to get that done to my face. Wouldn't a jewelry item or some other keepsake be better then having your face scarred up?" She shrugged. Whatever keeps people sane she supposed. "How long do you plan on staying here?" She asked. Hopefully it wouldn't be long, but it would be better to get this out of the way now. Her house was small and simple. The elf traveled a lot so there wasn't much point in having a fancy house. Most of the things she had were things that could be backed away at a moments notice if she had to leave. If the guy was going to be staying she would have to try and find room.
Her attention turned to the Dragon and Hiowie. Unfortunately Hiowie was completely failing at being scary and instead seemed to have made friends with the dragon. So the guy didn't seem to be bothered by her attitude yet and Hiowie wasn't going to scare them away....she was really going to be stuck with this guy. This was just great.......

Oliver shook his head, smiling lightly. "Men who wear jewelry are normally either freaky or homosexual, unless it's a mark of war or something of the sort. I would rather be scarred for life rather than risk losing some random piece of jewelry." He looked up, quietly examining the elf. She didn't seem that bad, and at least she wasn't annoying. When she asked the question, he already had an answer. "Well, probably just for the night. We'll leave first thing in the morning." He looked at Ransom, who was already asleep. That probably meant that he would be wide awake all night long.
Oliver leaned back and looked up at the roof of the house. It looked study enough. He didn't know what to do and would settle for taking a nap, but he was rather hungry. He wasn't going to ask for anything; he was used to skipping food and eating once or twice a day. It didn't really matter. Food wasn't that important. Unless Ransom was hungry. Then... well, he was asleep right now. That would work, because it wasn't possible to be hungry and sleeping at the same time, was it? "How long have you lived here? It's none of my buisness, but I was just curious." The house seemed relatively unlived in, although he would settle for anything with a roof over it.

Jade nodded when he mentioned how long they were staying. In that case he could just sleep on the couch. "I have only lived here a few years. I traveled around so much that there wasn't much point. But i guess everyone needs a place to call home and i was tired of people like you thinking i was poor so i got a house." The elf said answering his question. The last part was meant to be a funny reminder of the stupid thing he asked her just moments ago. She looked at him and the dragon for a moment not sure what she should do. Having people over wasn't a very frequent occurrence so the elf had no idea what a host was suppose to do. Though she supposed it didn't matter, they just wanted a place to sleep so they got it. Nothing else need to happen.

Oliver shook his head. "I'm sorry about that. It's just..." He decided to shut his mouth. He was getting to be a grumpy little snot already, and he needed to keep his head or risk getting kicked out. He would rather stay, even if it meant getting a major headache from holding back his tongue. That wouldn't be fun, but it would be better for everyone. He looked at a girl for a moment. He hadn't realized that he took everything too seriously, but he was sure that pretty well everyone else had. He didn't know how to 'take a joke', and he was easily offended. No one won when they were around him.
Oliver looked at the still sleeping, right in the middle of the floor. "If he gets in the way just push him aside. He sleeps through anything and everything, unless he gets hurt." Ransom was a really heavy sleeper, but he could last for quite a while without sleep. That was a good thing for both of them. He recalled the girl saying something about being a traveler, so he decided he might as well keep the conversation going. "Where have you been on your travels? Done anything exciting?"

"I have got to the Fatal forest and Vaccilium town a few times. Nothing all that exciting unless you count meeting weirdos exciting." Jade answered shrugging. The guy sure did talk a lot and asked a lot of questions. "Any particular reason why you need to know every detail about me?" She got up and went into her fridge. She was hungry, looking at the traveler she sighed inwardly. The elf suspected they would be hungry to and sitting there eating in front of them would just be cruel. So she made everyone some food and got some drinks. There wasn't much just sandwiches and apple juice, if they didn't like that then she would have no issue letting them starve. She stepped over Hiowie and the dragon not wanting to disturb either of them. The food for the wolf and the dragon was on the side near the wall so it wouldn't be in the way.

((I can't help but thinking 'She probably wants them to starve' lol))
Oliver smiled, for a moment, then wiped the look off his face. "Weirdos are normally the most interesting people, you know. All you have to do is talk to them, and then you figure out how interesting most of them really are. Like you." He grinned, feeling slightly accomplished. He had to slip that in, because sitting outside and reading a book wasn't exactly normal, now was it? Weird was abnormal, and that was all it was as far as he was concerned. Sure, he could've added more to that statement, to explain it, but he didn't feel like it right now.
Oliver looked up. He studied the food for a moment, then decided that he may as well eat. It was only polite, after all. He took a sandwich and some of the juice, eating it within thrity seconds. "Thanks." He smiled half heartedly, and then looked back at the ceiling. He had the slight idea that he was a boring person, and he didn't really care. He was done talkign for the moment.

(( lol he is just lucky to not have gotten on her nerves yet. Or else starving would be the least of his worries.))
Jade crossed her arms and glared. "And how am i weird Mr. Tatto face?" Hey if he was going to take digs at her she might as well do it back. She raised her eyebrows when he finished eating so fast. "Geeze slow down or you will choke. It's not going anywhere." The elf shook her head at him. The guy was hopeless she had to wonder about him. Tattoos, millions of weapons, and horrible table manners sounds like a typical guy but still there was something weird about this one.

Oliver grinned. "I thought you might as that, Wolf Lady." He had already decided to be difficult and not answer the question. The Wolf Lady thing probably summed that up enough. The book thing didn't matter that much right now. To the comment on choking, he merely laughed. "Why so concerned? Don't want someone to die in your house? I haven't choked yet, and I'm beginning to think that is just a myth." Oliver looked at the girl defiantly, a look of satisfaction still lingering in his eyes. He enjoyed being a little twerp sometimes. It had gotten him a decent reputation in some places.
The man looked at the dragon, then to the wolf, then back at the elf. This house was actually rather cozy. Perhaps he should look into getting himself one. Upon thinking of that, he began to wonder about the payment. "How would you like me to pay you? Money? Food? Clothing? Blood? As long as it doesn't involve kissing you or anything of the sort, then I'm fine with it." He had to slip in that kissing comment, just in case she was secretly like the other girls. That wouldn't be good.
