Trees.

Sitting there, watching the trees. More boring than watching paint try. Occasionally a squirrel would chatter, leaves would rustle. No sign of anything... human. Astareal sighed. She was bored. Bored enough to do something stupid just to have fun. That wasn't going to happen, though. She was on the verge of being discovered... by Yrael. She had ditched him a while back because he was driving her insane. It was a good thing he was telepathic or something. Still watching the trees, the sorcerer leaned back and got comfy. Might as well take a nap. Save up some energy.

Astareal was on the verge of sleep when she felt the presence of something or someone not dead. Opening her eyes, she didn't move. If it was Yrael he would be near her in a moment, and if it wasn't... well, she could use some company. She wasn't feeling grumpy in this near silence. Rather peaceful and at ease. But it was best not to let your guard down when those feelings came into play. Stretching for a moment, she didn't know if she should risk talking. Was there ever a riak not worth taking?

"Who's there? If you came to annoy me you can go away." With those words, she took up her air of nonchalance. This was nice, in all. The dead of night and someone was wandering around the forest. It may actually lead to be fun.

The white haired demon was simply out for a long walk. He really didn't expect to meet up with anyone. It was one of those weird times when he didn't feel like doing much of anything. It was night time and the forest in the Vally were notoriously dangerous at night. So there wasn't many people stupid enough to be out here. The voice took him by surprise as the calm was broken by the voice of a female. Akuma smiled when he recognized the voice.

"Well that really depends on what you consider annoying now doesn't it?" The man responded emerging through the trees to where the voice came from. Sure enough it was the necromancer Astreal.

He looked around to make sure she was alone. "No cat or zombies today? Well this is nice."

Astareal looked at the demon and then closed her eyes, retaking her position against the tree. "Do me a favor and keep your voice down. I'd rather not have to deal with the kitty right now." It would be best to not take a nap, either. Not with him around. It was probably time to get up and find a new hiding spot. What if Yrael had already figured out where she was? She couldn't just decapitate him and get it over with. He had too much valuable information in that little mind of his.

Standing up, she brushed herself off. Looking at Akuma, she looked toward the Valley. "Care to walk with me?" If she brought him with her, at least she would have someone to talk to, even if he could be a bit... perverted at times. Nothing she couldn't handle. Perhaps once they got out in the open something exciting would happen. Excitement... just what she needed. Maybe she could ge Akuma to kill the cat for her... then she could bring it back to life and use him as more of a slave than before.

Akuma laughed at her comment about her 'companion'. "Funny because it always seemed to me that you liked the creature."It was strange for hear to say something like that. Her and that cat were usually always together. They didn't exactly like each other but neither of them seemed to go so far as to avoid the other. Something must of happened between them. Well whatever happened this could be the demons chance to get closer to the women.

He nodded when she suggested a walk. There wasn't much else to do but walk in this place. Maybe they would find something interesting or at the very least something better to do.

Astareal flinched as she heard a loud 'smack' in the distance. "Oooh, drama. I like it. Wanna go check it out?" Not waiting for a response, Astareal started right in on walking toward the noise, trying to be as stealthy as possible. WOuldn't want to interupt anything, now would she? Smiling to herself, she found a bush and hid behind it, peering out through it's branches. There stood a couple who seemed to be fighting about something.

"You are such a jerk! How could you say that in front of my mother?"
"I don't know what you're talking about."

Astareal didn't know what they were talking about either, but the discussion was definitley about to heat up. "Ten bucks says the guy wins this fight." The brunette, happily eavesdropping on the conversation, began to wonder if this was morally correct. Probably not, but it wasn't like she was on the list for good behavior anyways. It was fine with her if she got caught. She could just smack Akuma for something and start yelling at him, then walk off back into the woods. They looked like humans, so they probably couldn't sense them anyways. Probably to consumed in fighting with each other.

Akuma followed Astreal behind the bushes. This seemed like it would be fun to watch especially if more hitting followed. He laughed slightly when she made a bet. "As much as i wish it to be that way. I have a feeling the woman will. Because for what ever reason it is always the mans 'fault'. And of course being men we are not as good as women are when it comes to being single. Men need women, and unfortunately women know this so they play on that. The only question here will be how long the fighting will last before the women plays the end of relationship card making the man give in."

While the demon was talking the people kept arguing.

"I don't understand why your so mad. I only complement on the nice vase you had." the man said defensively and confused.

"You idiot! I told you my dad died remember?" The women asked anger clear in her voice.

"yeah..so what does that have to do with it?" He asks confused.

"Where do you think my mom put his ashes?!" the women screamed.

The mans eyes widened in realization. "I'm sorry i had no idea....i didn't realize thats what it was." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously unsure what else he could say.

"And that's where I think you're wrong. All he has to do is break down and show weakness and I'm pretty sure she'll relent a bit, going to comfort him. Seeing a grown man cry... a real tear jerker. Especially if you're close to them. Although, she does seem to have a pretty good argument on her side." Astareal laughed to herself, watching the two with curiousity gleaming in her eyes. This was turning out to be rather interesting... the guy should stop being such a wimp and stick up for himself. With an attitude like that he might actually win. It shouldn't be that hard to make him cry. Unless he just didn't want to enrage her any further.

"Oh, I didn't know what it was. You're so pathetic." The mocking tone the woman took up made Astareal's eyes widen, wondering if she could ever pull something off that harsh. She was going to have to work hard to top it.

"Oh, so now you call me a liar?" The man became to grow more fed up, seeming to regain his dignity. "For your information, what I say is the truth. I can't remember anything like that and when I'm nervous things just come out of my mouth. You for one should know that, considering how we've been dating so long." Standing up straighter, the man began to act like he was on top of the world, the center of the universe. Astareal was tempted to go out there and smack him for acting like that.

"Well forgive me that I forgot about your nerves. You don't think I was nervous? I brought an idiot like you home to meet my mother!"

"It's not my fault you made a poor choice." Defiant, seemingly ready for anything.

"You're right. Maybe we should just call this relationship off." The girl took up a similar pose to the mans, and Astareal could almost feel the tension crackling between them.

Astareal looked at Akuma, raising an eyebrow. "So then, how do you think he's going to act? This may just end in a draw, a kiss and make up situation. That would be better for my wallet. Although..."

Akuma watched the guy. This looked bad neither of them seemed ready to give in or forgive each other. "Thats interesting. I always thought that women wanted the man to be tough. It makes no sense to me why anyone would like cry babies especially male ones....About how he will act i can't really tell. His mood changed pretty quick i wonder if he has some kind of disorder. Based on how he is acting now i think he will just agree and they will both go their separate ways." The demon shrugged. Never had he imagined that he would be watching some couple fight with a necromancer.

"I don't understand what your problem is. I said i was sorry, why can't you just accept it? It's ridicules to expect people to be perfect. If i'm not good enough for you then fine it's over!" The man said irritatedly and stormed off.

The women just rolled her eyes and did the same in the opposite direction.

"well i guess nobody won.....unless we stick around for a few years from now when after months of drinking and regret the man comes crawling back to her. And she will agree having previously dated a loser who got her pregnant and ditched her. Then they live happily ever after until the child becomes a problem teen. And their different approaches to parenting, stress from work, and other un realized differences break them apart again." The demon concluded. "Thats just how most relationships seem to work."

Astareal looked at Akuma like he was nuts. "Okay, then. You seem to know a lot about these random fights that happen everywhere. You do this often, or do you know by experience?" The woman couldn't help but smile after the comment, imagining Akuma crawling back to some random girl... that wouldn't happen though. He didn't seem like the type of person that would do that. Maybe that sort of assumption was a false one, though. You could only learn so much about a person.

"That was over too quickly. Now we need something else to do." Astareal looked around, beginning to get used to the silence around her. It was quiet in the woods besides the occasional chirp of a cricket, the scattering claws of a squirrel. It was peaceful. A bit too peaceful. A tad bit of chaos and it would be the perfect setting for a night like this. There was an inn in the middle of the valley, so they could go pick on some drunks... Nah, that wouldn't be fun to night. Astareal was in a more... lively mood.

Looking at Akuma, she took up a thoughtful expression. "What do you say to being actors for a little while? See how many veiwers we can draw up and then scare the crap out of them all? Or we could go to the bar or something. I'm up for that as long as no one tries anything. Want to put in a suggestion?" Feeling more agreeable than normal, the brunette was ready for virtually anything that involved causing trouble for others. It would be fun to see if Akuma thought of something fun to go do.

The demon laughed at the womens question. "Actually yes. Since i am the guy that gets the women pregnant and then leaves. I'm not so good with little kids or committing to one person. " He said shrugging. There was no point in hiding it. Astreal probably knew he was the type to do that by now.

Akuma nodded at her suggestions for something to do. "seems fun to me but I kind of wanted to test a little theory of mine. However, first we need to go find some place where some people will likely be. The inn is no good because most people there will be drunk so it won't produce fair results. Basically i want to see if gender plays as big of a role in certain things as i think it does."

Astareal raised an eyebrow. That sounded kind of mischevious... and troublesome. Good enough for her. "Oh, boy. A theory that needs tested. Is it alright to test it on sleeping people?" Most normal, non-alcoholic people would be fast alseep, unless they were making some midnight run. The only place she could even think of was a church having a midnight sermon or a house full of vampires. If he wanted humans... well, it wouldn't be that hard to wake people up.

"Exactly what kind of a theory is this, if you don't mind my asking?" If he didn't answer she planned on kicking the crud out of him until he told her, but she figured that if she was in on this she deserved to know what was going to happen. Maybe knowing would just ruin the fun... when was it her turn to wreak havoc among the townsfolk? Once more people started to die more and more at a time. She wanted more.. fleshy bodies. Skeletons were just working for her anymore unless needed.

"It actually doesn't matter if they are asleep or not because what i have in mind may wake them up. Here is what i was thinking.... one of us will pretend to be in trouble. So for example you could pretend to be trying to kill me or something like that, then we switch. I want to see how quickly and how many people will come to the rescue. " The demon explained. "No zombies allowed though.....for the sake of this test we should both pretend to me normal humans. And of course we can't do it in the same place each time so we will have to change spots. Also to take care of any variables we should try different scenarios. But first we will just do a basic control test if you will. I pretend to try and hurt you and vice versa." Akuma continued. He didn't mind explaining what he had in mind with her. He actually had no agenda this time, he was just genuinely curious to see how the results would be. "I personally think people will come to your rescue more then mine simply because your a women."

"Yeah, but if I make it believeable then it might just work. How are we going to get the crowd to disperse, though? It sounds fun to me. I'm up for it. Are we going to start here, or somewhere more populous?" The woman picked at her nails, blowing on them afterward. No matter the situation at hand, she always had time to mess around with her nails. Perhaps it was just a sign that she was relaxed enough to be at ease? Who knew. It was still so quiet around it was hard to tell what she was truly feeling.

Sighing, she stopped fiddling around with her fingers and looked at Akuma expectantly. These scenarios... they should be interesting. She had never thought of something like this before. It wouldn't be that hard to pull off, as long as her mood wasn't influenced by the noise. She might even be able to fake cry if she tried hard enough. That would make it all the more believable, the more emotion was poured into it and perceived by the others as real.

"obviously if too many people come or if they get violent i will cast my ilusions to scare them away. I don't think we need to go to a very populated place just one that has a decent amont of people." Akuma begain walking in the direction he thought the nearst villige was. "so do you want to be the victim first or shall I?" This would be interesting. He wondered how he was suppose to make himself seem like he was afriad for his life. This could be hard.

"I don't know. Personally I think it should be me first that way if I get carried away you wouldn't have to move very far afterward." Astareal smiled, having fun with the situation. She was kidding with the comment, but wondered if he could tell. Probably could, if he was beginning to get to know her better. And scaring them away with illusions was cheating. If only her Dead could scare them away... drowsy people were the best ones to get because they couldn't get away as fast and their minds were a bit clouded due to the lack of sleep.

"We're going to go pick on the nearest village then. Hmm... what would that be? Is it the pixies or the elves? Maybe its the vampire and werewolf one... either way there is bound to be a few humans in either. Humans are the fun ones." Humming to herself, Astareal followed after Akuma happily. For once she didn't mind following the leader.

Akuma ignored her comments and set out toward the village. Once there he grabbed a hidden knife from under his white sleeve and pointed it at Astreals neck. He put on a mean and scary looking face so that anybody who came would think it was real. Hopefully Astreal wouldn't think it was and freak out to much, but he was a pretty good actor so who knows? "Your quite the pretty piece of trash aren't you? It's dangerous to be out here alone maybe you should come home with me." He said in a menacing and fake nice tone. The kind someone would normally use to when they knew someone couldn't refuse but enjoyed playing nice anyway. The knife was only slightly toughing her neck because he didn't want to actually hurt her.....not yet anyway. He needed her for this little test so killing her by accident wouldn't be so good.
