Life is Good

Alea rolled her eyes. "You are such a show off, you know that? Are you trying to impress me or something? Because if you are, sorry, but it's not working."

Armageddon laughed and flung himself backwards. "Trying to impress you? Of course I'm not! If I was trying to impress you, you would be impressed. I assure you." Armageddon shook his wet hair and looked up at the sky. It wasn't that bad out today. Smiling, he began to think about what to do next. Maybe he would get a little taller sometime..... with that thought, he laughed again. Why was he being so random?

Alea raised an eyebrow. "Try me. As it turns out, I'm quite hard to impress." This, of course, was not true. She was just curious to see what else he could do.

Armageddon looked at Alea. Did she actually want him to impress her? How strange. Normally people didn't go around and want to be impressed... The boy sighed. Best to give her what she wanted, right? Thinking for a moment, the boy sighed again. "I can't o that on demand. How do you want me to impress you? Strangth? Brilliance? Romantic tactics?" The boy was curious and confused. This was a little strange, but it should be fun.

Alea laughed. "Romantic tactics? You? I dont belive it."

Armageddon stared at the girl for a moment. Breaking the stare, he walked forward and looked her in the eye. "Are you telling me that I can't be romantic? Boy, are you missing out." The elemental turned away from her, and htought for a moment. Was he really going to attempt to do this? Of course! Turning back around, he sighed. "If you would like to see the romantic side of me, you'll really have to try and coax it out. It doesn't act on demand." The boy shrugged and flipped his hair. This was promising, really. If her could pull this off... he grinned and laughed lightly.

Alea got a mischievious look in her eyes. "Coax you? Hmmm.... in what way?"

Armageddon shook his head. "I don't know. What ways are there?" Thinking for a moment, he quickly added, "Never mind. Don't answer that question. But do you really want to see me be all romantical and stuff?" The boy grinned. Shaking his head yet again, he tried to think of a decent way to prove himself. That girl really had him stumped. Perhaps another cloud ride? Or the sunset? Flowers? The boy declined those thoughts. Romantic words? Lovey dovey emotions? Think hard, he tried to figure out what Alea would like the best. She didn't seem like one to fall for a gift.

Alea gave a smile and crossed her arms. "Give it your best shot." She wondered how this whole thing was going to turn out.

The boy sighed. Combing his hair back, he looked around. What was he to do? Walking over to the girl, he took her hand lightly in his. This was going to be awkward. "Let me remind you that you brought this on yourself." The boy nodded and cleared his throat. Why wasn't he nervous yet? "Your hiar, it's like the golden straw before harvesting. Your eyes; blue, pristine, they remind me of the sky on a clear summer's day. Your skin; flawless. Wonderful. Soft and magnificent. Altogether, you are a wonderful person. Your personality; you're so easy going and kind. If I forgot to mention anything, let me know." The boy thought about it. To him it was a little more creep ythan romantic, but, what the heck? He tried. And if words didn't work, he would find out what did soon.

Alea's eye brows raised once again. "Hmm... not bad. But about my personality, you did miss something: I can be good at being romantic too. You just haven't seeen it yet."

Armageddon laughed. "Somehow I'm able to believe that one. I can be waaay more romantic than that, I'm just not... in the mood for it today, if that's even possible." The boy waded out of the water and sat down on the shore. It was peaceful and nice out here, perfect for budding friendships. Too bad he didn't live underneath the falls or something. That would have been truly perfect. When around water, he felt at home. When around Ambrosia, he occasionally felt like punching someone in the face. That wasn't all that great a tendency, though.

"Yea, I know what you mean." She said once again laying down and floating on the water. "To tell the truth, I've never even had the chance to be romantic: I've never fallen in love." She sighed at the thought. She wondered what it would be like to love someone.

Armageddon grinned. He hadn't fallen in love either, and he was actually rather happy about that. Ambrosia had fallen in love twice, both had either died or left her in one way or another, and she had been devastated. It was rather sad that the only time he could stand her was when she was so depressed that she couldn't speak. The water elemental shivered and wondered why he had so suddenly gotten the chills. "Is it just me or do you have that creepy feeling, too?"

Alea paused taking note to all of her surroundings. "Yea..." she said slowly, "I do. what do you suppose it is?"

Armageddon shuddered. "I have no idea. But, these feelings definitley aren't normal for me." He'd never gone with his instincts before. It was always what he thought was logical, and so far, he hadn't died. It was nice to have that feeling... that he could outsmart nature. Too bad it wasn't true. Just because he could control wind and water didn't mean he was king of the world.
