Life is Good

Alea gave him a look. "You don't mean to tell me that we're lost, do you?" She gave it a second thought. Well, it couldn't exactly be a bad thing... She smiled to herself.

"I can get us found, if you'd like." Armageddon didn't realize what the elf was potentially saying. He was responding as he normally would. The typicall idiot he could be. Seemed like he was living up to his potential. The boy forced a smie and looked around, trying to figure out what this place was.

She rolled her eyes at his ignorance. 'No, I don't want to be found. I like being lost in the middle of nowhere.... She crosst her arms and tapped her foot waiting for him to redeem himself.

Armageddon shrugged. Why was she rolling her eyes? Out of no where came a big, beatiful butterfly. Tne creture landed on Armageddon's nose. He blew, and it flew away. Stupid bugs. That thing was lucky that it hadn't gotten smacked. although he had to admit that it was rather pretty.

She resisted the urge to slap him. "You are such a guy! You have no brain AT ALL!!!!" She started walking to who knows where. She really didn't care either.

"I have a brain!" Armageddon followed after Alea, ondering waht was up. "You are such a girl! ALways storming off and being all moody! You don't even et us guys know what's wrong! So much for being able to help!" Armageddon had, hopefully, just proved that he had a brain and that it was fully functioning. Guys and girls were different, but it didn't nessecarily mean that those stereotypes were believable.

Alea stopped in her tracks and whirled around to face Armageddon. "What do you mean by me being moody?! I'm NOT MOODY!" Alea was getting really ticked off.

"You're moody. Three seconds ago you were being as nice as couldbe. And now, you're ticked at me. That's what I mean." Armageddon shrugged and put up his arms as if surrendering. At least he hadn't accused her of having PMS or something. Then she'd have kicked his butt clear to the moon.

Alea takes a deep breath and relesed it slowly. She nodded and said, "You'e right, and I'm sorry. It's just I got upset when... oh forget it." she said quickly when she relized what she was going to say: When you missed the perfect chance to kiss me...

"No, I'm not going to forget it. Obviously, I did something wrong. I'd like it if you told me what that was so I won't make that mistake again." Armageddon looked at the girl cautiously, wondering what had really set her off. Was he missing something? He swallowed and brushed his soft, poofy black hair out of his face. This didn't suck at all. He took Alea's wrist in his hand, gently, and tilted his head to the side. "Please finish."

Alea looked away from him and cleared her throat. "I was going to say you missed the perfect chance to kiss me." She mummbled under her breath hoping he wouldn't hear her comment.

Armageddon swallowed and let go of her wrist. "Oh." He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly and flinched. "I want you to know something about me. I've never actually..." He shook his head for a moment, "I've never actually ever kissed a girl. I've never been in love. I've never done anything with anyone. I keep to myself. I'm a reserved person. I only let certain people inside. So far, you and Ambrosia are the only two that have surpassed my emotional barrier." Hopefully that was a good enough excuse for why he didn't kiss her. Or a good enough reason not to have. If he was gong to fall in love, he was going to take things slow and do it right, unlike his sister. Or so he thought.

"I see. But why would I be able to break your emotional barrier? I'm just some random unimportiant person in the world. I don't matter to anyone."

"Don't say that. You do matter to someone. Trust me. I don't know how people break my barrier. It just happens. You talk to me. You're nice. It's just.... welcoming, I guess." Armageddon shrugged. Was she going to get grumpy again? That would be nice. Sarcasm was the key to living for some people. Like Armageddon.

Alea shrugged. "Yea I guess." Alea didn't know why she was being so bipolar, but she was. Maybe it was because it had been a long day.

Armageddon rubbed his neck. The sun was slowly sinking below the horizon. Rain seemed to be on the way. "Well... it's getting dark. Do you think that we should go somewhere more sheltered?" The boy grinned lightly, half-heartedly, and stared at the sky. A ferocious storm was on it's way.
