An Unsolved Mystery

Lucien skidded to a halt in front of the looming building. This was a bit dark and creepy. That was fine with him! Shoving the doors open he walked inside and looked around. "Man, this place was demolished." Kicking a large rock, he thought that it would move. BUt it didn't. How odd. Getting down on his hands and knees he studied it, and then pulled up. It didn't budge. He tried shoving it, but it still didn't move. there was something about that rock that just fascinated him. Standing up slowly he dug out the necklace and put it on.

"I hate this place."

Xander was relieved when they arrived. The rings power would stop in a few minutes. However once inside he started getting a little worried. There was something wrong about this place and the strange rock that wouldn't move just increased his concern. Hopefully the Queen didn't decide to come here, he was painfully aware of how close to her territory they were.

Ying watched Lucien curiously wondering what the deal was with the rock. "Well i guess we can't get much darker then this." She said happily. Although she too was concerned about the strange vibe the place was given off.

Thinking for a moment Lucien grinned and clapped the holoform on the back. "Move the rock, please. Or at least tell me what is down there."
"What part of 'I hate this place' didn't you understand?"
"Pretty please?"
"Instead of explaining it, I will tell you how to move the rock. Even though I don't think that you'll like what you find down there." The holoform sighed and placed a pale hand on it's forehead. "You have to jump on it. The trapdoor will open, you will fall down into darkness. That's all I'm going to tell you."

Lucien looked at the holoform for a moment before turning and studying the rock. Fall down into darkness? His sense of curiousity had been triggered, though, and he now really wanted to go and see what was down there. All he would need would be a light. And a way back up. That really would suck. Apparently whoever went down there wasn't supposed to come back up. Lucien walked down the hallway and looked for a torch. Finally finding one, covered in spider webs, he took it back down the hall and looked to Xander. "Have any way to light this?"

Xander shook his head no. He never saw the rock before, nor had he been in this part of the castle. He was just as lost as the others were. He looked around the room nervously , expecting someone to jump out and ambush them at any moment.

"Grand pa i don't think you should go down there at least not alone. Actually maybe nobody should go down there until we figure out what it is." Ying said in a concerned manner. She wasn't afraid of the dark and she liked adventure as much as Lucien. But this place was to odd, there was something going on here and it felt like they were walking into a trap.

"Maybe your journals have some clues about what is down there." Yang suggested to Lucien.

"The female has a point. So does the male. But, if you're curiousity overwhelms you, that is the point of no return." The holoform grinned and folded his arms. He acted like he was high or something. Lucien stared at his twin and sighed. Perhaps he shoud wait. Then again, this was kind of interesting. A rock with a trap door underneath it. Too bad Patsy wouldn't tell him what was down there. Then again, if he knew what was down there, he would probably want to go check it out. Perhaps Patsy had a good reason for holding his tongue. Lucien kicked the rock, wishing that he could find a way to get in there.

"Is there another way, perhaps, a back way, to get down there?" Lucien tilted his head to the side slightly and took the nod the holoform gave his as a yes. "There is, but I'm not telling you where it is." With rage boiling inside him, Lucien turned and punched himself in the knee. Apparently Patsy liked ticking people off.

"Your not very helpful. Maybe you should be the first to go down and look. " Ying said teasingly Although she was serious about the holoform not being any help.

Yang sighed getting annoyed with everyone fighting went over to the rock. "If nobody is going to quit fighting and actually find a solution then someone might as well go check it out. I'll see you guys at the bottom!." He said irritatedly. Although now that he was on the rock he wondered if it would be such a good idea.

"i'll go." Xander offered quietly. His life was worthless anyway. After causing so many problems for them and others, the least he could do was help.

Ying grabs Yang and pulls him off the rock and looks at Xander. "No one is going and thats that." She said stamping her foot down. Was what ever was under the rock worth risking their lives over?

Lucien raised an eyebrow. This was going to be fun. "I vote that nobody but Patsy goes down there. He's invincible. Not even living really." Lucien grinned at the holoform, who shook it's head. "You're nuts. Do you know what he did down there? I assure you, you do NOT want to go down there." Those words pricked at Lucien's curiousity again, making him have to force resistance. He really wanted to jump on that rock. Who was 'he'? What did 'he' do down there? Sighing he forced it out of his mind and then shook it, just for good measure. dang humans anyways. Had to be so mysterious and such.

Ying sighed heavily. "This is getting boring. Instead of staring at a rock, why don't we find something more interesting to look at?"

Xander sat down on the floor and watches the others. This was probably going to last all day. He didn't like the sound of what the holoform was insinuating.

Lucien sighed for a moment, before remembering something really important. "Oh, crap! I left the stove on. Gotta, run, guys. I'll see you around." Taking the necklace off Lucien waved to everyone and took off running toward his house. What a wonderful excuse. That was boring. he would go back there later to jump on that stupid rock.
