Happily Ever After? (Yumi)

Calypso's nose wrinkled. "I didn't believe it at first, but then... well, you start believing it. Do you have anything specific you'd like to know, or just the whole thing about it?" To be honest, Calypso was a little surprised that the girl didn't know already. Then again, she had been heavily prtected by her brother. With that thought, Calypso had everything aligned in her head about what she would and wouldn't tell the girl. The bad stuff she would try to make sound better, and the good stuff she would try to make sound worse than it was. Things were just easier that way.

Lucien noticed Yang enter the kitchen, and then the servants brought out plates and silverware. Upon getting his first, the covers were removed to reveal bacon, biscuits, sausages, gravy, eggs, and many other breakfast-y items. This was beginning to seem like a good day, only something about this told him that the thing would soon change. For some reason, that was normally how things were. Start out great and then they go right down the crapper.

Yang quietly ate his breakfast. He didn't see his sister anywhere, he hoped she didn't run off. It would be a pain to have to go after her.

Ying thought for a moment. "Well they were at the part with male parts going inside female ones. And how sperm from males go into the females, and meet with the female eggs. So i guess i just want to know how all that works and if it is painful. Because it sounds really gross and horrible."

Calypso grinned and laughed lightly. "It isn't really all that painful, I don't think. It depends on your tolerancy to those things I guess. The main painful part is actually childbirth and stuff like that... but, it is pretty natural all the same. As for the sperm and egg thing, I don't really know. All I can really do is tell you to believe it, because that's how it works. I never really was given a formal education on these things." The brunette shrugged and hoped her words had helped at least a little bit. If they hadn't, she would probably have to think a little and rephrase a few things. But that wouldn't hurt anyone, would it? It wasn't like the woman would lose her voice or anything... Calypso liked to think of her vocal cords as invincible and able to withstand a lot of stress, no matter how mmuch she ran her mouth.

"Is there any other way to get kids? Because i don't think i want to do this 'love making' thing. It just sounds to strange and scary." Ying said. No matter how much someone explained it just didn't make sense. Thinking for a moment she wondered how everyone but her knew about this. Did they all do it, or were they just smarter?

Any other way to get kids? That was a little strange, but it made Calypso think about something for the first time today. "Only adoption, but then that child wouldn't technically be yours. That and you would have to find a legitimate child to adopt, which there aren't really all that many of." The woman shrugged and didn't add anything else. Was there any way to get a child besides making love? She doubted it. Not if you wanted it to be a product of both the parents rather than two random peoples child. Not if you wanted the child to have its real parents and live a normal life.

"Oh. " Ying said. She was a little disappointed and kind of mad that no body told her about this sooner. Maybe if she knew sooner it wouldn't seem so bad and she could dare she say it, think about it more. She made her way to the kitchen and saw that Lucien was stuffing their face without her. She sat down by Lucien. "Hey." She said smiling.

"Good morning." Lucien looked to Ying and smiled, quickly looking back to the food. He was pretty much full, finished eating. The majority of people were still eating, stuffing their faces happily. Lucien studied them, before wiping his hands off on his pants. The hall was filled with quiet chatter and dishes clattering, the normal sounds of chaos.

Calypso walked into the dining hall and sat down next to Liam and Annabelle. The four year old had managed to cover herself in her breakfast, Liam trying to get her cleaned off whilst also trying to eat his own food. The brunette was tempted to yell at everyone to quiet down, but she resisted the urge.

Ying looked at Lucien seriously. "Calypso explained the baybe thing to me. I still don't quite understand and it sounds really painful. I was wondering if maybe you could have the baybe first and then if it isn't so bad i can have the next one." Seeing Lucien have one might help her see that it wasn't so bad. And he seemed to know about it more then her so she could learn what she was suppose to do by watching him.

Yang heard the question and falls over laughing. Nearly choking in the process.

Everything went quiet. A few people started to giggle. "That... isn't... going to work. I don't have the right... body parts for that." Lucien rubbed the back of his neck gingerly, kind of wanting to laugh just because of everyone else. People who knew what was going on, like Liam and Calypso, were doing face palms and shaking their heads. That was a little rude, but... well... "I have a story I'd like to tell you if you're willing to hear it." Lucien shook his head. If that didn't work... he wasn't going to have to do that. If he did, he just wasn't going to have kids.

Ying looked around at the people laughing. She didn't understand what was so funny. "Did i say something wrong? Yeah sure i like storys" She said to Lucien. "can we go somewhere else?" She asked starting to feel a little embarrassed. Her head felt like exploding with all this information she was getting. Not to mention she was kind of horrified at the thought that the people in the room like Liam and calypso might have done this nasty thing.

Lucien nodded. Offering her his hand, he went out into the hallway. Everyone else stayed in the dining room. "Let me tell you the story of how I was born." Lucien cleared his mind for a moment, letting the words come to him. This was fun. And, it wasn't graphic, at all. It didn't go into detail about much, so... it would work. "Before my motherbecame mymother and my father became my father they did not know each other; But when my father saw my mother for the first time, he thought she was special. Dad was with some of hisfriends when Mom met him. She noticed him right away. She thought he was special, too. They began to spend a lot of time together. The talked. The laughed. They took long walks together. When they were together they liked to hold hands and o kiss. It was springtime. They didn't like being apart. When they could not be together, they wrote long letters to each other. At the end of the summer tey knew they loved each other very much. They decided to get married so they could be together all the time. Everyone was glad to see them so happy. After they were married they cooked together and ate together. At night they went to slepp. In the morning they woke up glad to be with each other. Sometimes they took a bath together. They liked to splash and make each other laugh. That winter they decided hey wanted to have a baby. Mom wanted a boy just like Dad. Dad wanted a girl just like Mom. So they made love."

Taking a deep breath, the rest was still to come. This sure was a story about just the basics. "When the doctor told them Mom was pregnant thy were very excited. At first you couldn't tell Mom was pregnant. After three months she couldn't zip up her jeans anymore. I was now three inches long. After five months she had to borrow Dad's sweaters to fit over her big belly. I was now nin inches long and beginning to move. Mom and Dad liked to take long walks in the country. I was gently rocked as she walked. When Mom and Dad stopped to rest they talked about names for me: Allice, Julia, Andrew. After eight months I was taking up a lot of space. Mom's belly was big and heavy. Dad couldn't get his arms around her anymore. While Mom and Dad were getting things ready for my arrivall, I was kicking around so much that it made Mom's belly jump up and down. Dad said he could hear my heartbeat." He did enjoy telling this story.

"One night Mom started having labor contractions. She went to the Delivery Room. I was on my way after nine months of waiting. Finally I arrived. Air entered my lungs and I gave a great cry. The nurse put me on my mother's stomach. She was proud and happy. Mom's milk was very good. Sometimes I fell asleep while I nursed. Mom and Dad thought I was the most beautiful baby in the world. The whole family loved me. They decided I have Dad's nose, Mom's eyes, Grandpa's ears, and Grandma's hands.... The end." Lucien raised an eyebrow, waiting for a reaction. That was a long story, and he tried to get it as interesting as possible. Hopefully that worked. He tried to make it more interesting by fluctuating his voice and adding emotions. This will probably get a few questions... oh, well.

Ying raised her eyebrows when he started talking. The story was so long and boring she almost fell sleep standing up. She was glade when he finally finished. In her mind she mentally tried to sort out everything. All she had was that they did something called love making where the guy put his privet parts into the women's. Then after so much time... poof ... a baby. It sounded simple enough but still gross and painful sounding. "what do you mean by the mommys milk tasting good? I thought only cows made milk."

Lucien raised an eyebrow. "All mammals make milk. We are mammals. Cows, horses, pigs, werewolves, humans, elementals, everything that gives brith to live young makes milk. I don't know why." The 'king' figured that he would throw that in, simply because he figured she may ask. Why was beside the point. Why question it when it simply happened? If you had the ability to do it, then you would probably end up doing it at some point in your life.

"ok..so where does the milk come from and how does the baby get it?" She asked. Every time Ying felt like she was getting close to the answer....more questions came. Why did having babies have to be so yucky and complicated. Couldn't it be easier...like maybe say a magic word and then have a baby appear instantly. This aggravated her and made her really want to prank the person who invented making babies. Why couldn't the person have made up an easier and less disgusting way to do it.

"Have you ever watched a baby calf eat? It comes from suckling your mother's breast." Lucien just spat the words out. Might as well, right? It was best to just get it out there, right? Next it would probably be how the milk was made. "It's made by mammary glands." Lucien sighed. This was boring, but at least she was being educated. It seemed strange that she didn't know this. His hopes of children were getting dimmer and dimmer by the moment.

She raised her eyes in a horrified look. Thats was just to crazy and kind of weird. Ying shook her head the love thing sound like something out of a horror play. "then i guess were adopting. There is no way i'm doing that." She sighed. She felt bad because Lucien did want kids........but knowing what was involved she just couldn't. She walked back into the breakfast hall trying to ignore the looks she was getting. At least everyone else was having a good time.
