Bumblebees and Pollenation

The dwarven children walked past the inn, singing a song. The prince thought it to be rather interesting and adorable, not to mention wonderfully true. And catchy... It went something like this:

"I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee
Won't my mommy be so proud of me

OUCH! It stung me!
Fudging bumblebee.

I'm squishing up a baby bumblebee

Ewww. It's sticky!

Ewww. It's yucky!

Ewww. It's stinky!

I'm mopping up a baby bumblebee
Won't my mommy be so proud of me

My mommy's gunna be so mad at me!"

Lucien grinned and stated where he was, parked on a bench outside of the Stone Wall Inn. It was nice, shady and cool, away from the afternoon sun. That burning ball of gasses was annoying, making the man sweat constantly. Ugh. Dang weather. Why couldn't it rain more often? Short story short; the prince was bored. He had no friends nor anything else to do. Joy! Sighing, he leaned against the stone building. Somehow the stones managed to be cool despite the heat of the day. It may actually be worth it to go swimming... nah. Not worth the publicity. the ocean was packed on days like these...

Alea walked through town busying herself buying food and what not. She had her hair tied back in a loose ponytail. the sun shone down on her head fiercely.
As she passed the inn, she saw some guy just sitting there. Normaly, she would have walked by without another glance. However, this time, her curiosity got the better of her.
"Exuse me sir, I couldn't help but notice you just sitting here. are you okay?"

Lucien sat there, still, humming the song. As the elf appraoched, he didn't give her a second thought. Until she said something to him. Thinking about a clever response, he looked up at the blonde. "That there sun is baking me to a crisp on this here day. I'm mighty fine, though. How is you?" Lucien was pretending to be a farmer of some sort, trying to talk like a hick. He had the southern accent and everything. His attire said otherwise; black knee length shorts and a white tank top. He didn't look like he was fresh off the farm.

Alea chuckled. "Nice fake accsent." She thought it funny that he would think that he could fool her.

Lucien chucklled himself. He quickly transitioned over to a seemingly British accent, talking in it accuratley and fluently. You couldn't tell the difference, it was so natural for him. "All right then. You got me. Although I fail to see how you can tell the difference. That's my best accent." The boy shook his hair and moved a few stray stands back to their place. With his bright yellow eyes, he seemed mysterious enough. At least enough to wonder what race he was. The blonde girl was obviously an elf, and a young one at that. Lucien stretched his back and looked the girl in the eye. "How do you feel about this wonderful hot day?" Sarcasm was evident, but it was a curious question.

Alea blew some loose strands that had failed to stay in the loosly tied ponytail out of her face. However, they fell back where they were before. "Well, it's okay, i guess. there are always down sides. For one, i hate being sweaty."

Lucien chuckled lightly. He didn't sweat unless he was in human form. Probably a good thing that he had free choice. "I don't have that problem, really. Normally I just lounge around in the shade. I don't do much of anything on days like these." The boy smiled and shook his loose black hair. It was nice to wear it down, even though it attracted the heat. "Would you like to go get something cool to drink with me? I promise not to do anything creepy." The vamp/were/human cross smiled evne bigger. It was hard not to be creepy.

Alea thought for a minute. "Oh, sure, why not. It's not like I have anything better to do. So, where we going?"

Lucien smiled. He was still talking in his British accent. "I was thinking that little ice shop down the road. I think they've figured out a way to make something like flavored slush. I've never tried it, but is sounds good." the mad stood up and stretched for a moment. He seemed to be taller than everyone around here. With his silky black hair, he walked forward and looked around for that stand. He strolled at a slow, leisurley pace, making sure that the elf could keep up. It would be his treat; the ice cream.

Alea followed him quickening her steps to keep up with him. As they walked she asked him, "I feel so dumb, I forgot to ask your name."

Lucien closed his eyes for a split second, and then looked at the blonde elf. "My name is Ronan. Yours?" He had previously decided to go with an alias. Sure he was lying to her, but the truth would reveal itself before long. He had decided to go with his father's name, for that was the only one he could think of on short notice. Unless he wanted to go with Yang, but that wasn't happening. The elf seemed to be one that was helpful and overly cheerful, so maybe he would end up not iking her. It was hard to tell. he had only hung around her for what, five minutes?

Upon approaching the little stand, Lucien pulled out two shiny gold coins and handed them over to the man. "Two, please. One cherry flavored and the other..." Lucien looked to the girl, expecting her to proclaim her flavor.

"I'm Alea." she replyed. As they walked up to the little snand she said, "I'll go with rasberry. You dont have to pay for mine. I have my own money. she handed the man her own coin.

Lucien shrugged. He was just trying to be a gentleman, he couldn't help it if she wanted to pay for herself. Ronan liked being 'classy'. The dark haired man forked the money over and took his snowcone. Even though it was really cold, it smelled nice. Why did that ice smell? It was so strange... Oh, well. At least it wasn't yellow. Lucien took his spoon and took a little bite, deciding that this flavored ice was delicious. He would have to get it more often.

"This is extremely good. Perhaps we should go to that little meadow place to enjoy it?" Why was he being so friendly? Probably because the girl was like... 13, maybe? 14 at best. It was fun to mess around with little kids.

"Umm... Yea, sure I guess." Alea wondered why he was doing this. She started walking towards the medow.

"I know that sounded creepy, but I promise, I'm not going to rape you or anything. If you even know what rape is." Now age was becoming a big factor in what 'Ronan' said. He wasn't careful of what he said, just whether or not she knew what it was. of course, he couldn't think her to be stupid, but.... well, royals tended to think that way, didn't they? Lucien shifted into a vampire, immediatley aware of what little breeze there was.

"Of course I know what that is!" She watched as he shifted into a vampire. "Wow! What are you?" She asked kind of freaked out.
