thieves and slaves

Ying and Yang were in their hide out, which was a cave hidden by a bunch of trees. They were going over the stuff they managed to steal from a group of merchants that had passed a while ago. They weren't mean like most werewolf's and they stole only to survive. There wasn't much of an option these days, the only other options were death or slavery.

" It was so awesome how they ran when i made them think their pet birds were talking!." Ying giggled. She was bouncing around happily. Her task was simple, she distracted people with one of her pranks while Yang took the stuff.

" Would you calm down for a few minutes please. I can't concentrate with you doing that." Yang said as he tried to count how much food they got. It wasn't nearly enough. "Dam. They must have already sold most of their stuff by the time they came this way."


Ying sat down beside her twin. "No worries we can just find more." She said un daunted. Ying searched her brothers facial expressions. "You worry to much, we will think of something."

Yang shook his head. He wasn't so sure what they were going to do. They were in werewolf country there wasn't much here for them but if they were to leave it could mean being caught by soldiers.

Lucien was suspicious, it was way to quiet here. Listening hard he let the vampire consume him and ran over to a tree inhumanly fast. Mumbling to himself he grinned lightly and listened again, trying to hear someone talking. With the enhanced senses he should be able to sense someone around. He was feeling okay today, not all that great yet not all that bad. He wanted to talk to someone. "Is anyone here?"

After saying this the dark haired man began to look around for someone. Meandering through the trees Lucien noticed something he'd never saw before, something that seemed to be a cave. Walking slowly over to the mouth of the cave, Lucien peered inside and waited for a moment before speaking. "You're in here, aren't you?" Lucien began to realize how he hadn't really ever explored all that much of the Valley. He knew there had to be somebody in there, he could smell them. As a precaution, the prince let the werewolf blood take over, his yellow eyes gleaming eerily in the darkness.

Yang sensed someone come close. Ying be quiet someone is here. He told her telepathically.

Who is it?

I have no idea.

How did someone find us?

They probably heard us talking earlier


What should we do?

Run. Yang answered as they both turned in to normal wolves. No one would think twice of two wolves being in a cave. Or so they both hoped as they ran toward the mouth of the cave. They both saw the strange guy but neither dared stop running to get a better look. It looks like they would have to leave after all.

Lucien watched the wolves as they ran, thinking about chasing after them. Letting the Human consume him, a headache began to come on. Ignoring the pain, Lucien followed the two slowly, curiously. They couldn’t just be normal wolves, could they? Pondering this for a moment Lucien stopped and then forced himself to continue. "It's sad that my presence is so frightening that whatever sets its eyes on me runs away." This was said to no one but himself, just a few mumbled words.

Lucien stared up at the trees around him and shifted again, this time back into a Vampire. The headache intensified but wasn't enough to stop him yet.

Is it just me or is that dude sad. Ying asked.

It's just you, lets keep going. Yang said. Although he didn't rally know, he just didn't want to take any chances. He looked around and noticed that Ying was heading back. He growled to himself and ran after her. what are you doing?

I'm just so curious and besides we left our stuff behind.

Your such an idiot. Yang mumbled.

When the two got closer they returned to human form.

ahh he is so cute.

He is 10 times older then we are, so get over it!He couldn't believe how simple she was sometimes.

Ying ignored her brother and ran over to the guy and jumped onto his shoulder. She stood there perfectly balanced and looked over his face.

Yang just stood there with his arms crossed and rolled his eyes.

Lucien was startled when someone or something jumped on his shoulder, but he held his ground. Sure that was scary, but he wasn't planning on showing any emotion. "Um... hello?" Lucien said this uncertainly, in a monotone and somewhat quietly. The prince wasn't going to move, figuring that if he did the person would fall. "Would you mind getting off my shoulder?" This was asked curiously, in a lighter tone. One that had a more friendly sound to it. Lucien was glad that he had switched over to a Vampire, it was much easier to support the weight in this form. Werewolf would've been easy enough, but the human would've fell flat on it's face. Grinning when he thought of this, Lucien chuckled lightly and shook his head.

Ying jumped down from the guys shoulder and began circling the guy. She looked over him curiously then held out her hand. "Hi there." She said smiling. "I'm Ying and that grumpy guy over there is my brother." She said and pointed to where her brother was standing.

"I'm not grumpy!" Yang yelled.

Ying laughed and stuck out her tongue at him.

"Why don't you leave the guy alone. He probably finds you just as annoying as i do."

Lucien took the girl's hand firmly and shook it, smiling while he did this. His hand was cold to the touch, similar to that of an ice cube. "I'm Lucien. Pleased to meet you, Ying." Lucien pulled his hand back and looked to the one who was called 'grumpy guy'. As if in reply to the 'grumpy guy's' comment, Lucien looked to Ying and said, "I don't find her annoying." Lucien said this quietly, then looked to Ying's brother. The guy seemed like someone the prine would be able to get along with. If he acted like that all the time he'd be pretty similar to Lucien.

Yang walked closer to Ying. He looked over the suspiciously. Are you satisfied now? he asked Ying.

Not really. Ying looked at the guy. "So what brings you here?"

Seriously Ying i think we should go. We have to find somewhere else to live.

Later, I just want to see what this guy is all about.

As Lucien was asked a question, the man tilted his head to the side slightly, thinking. "I live here. It's the place where I can blend in. I'm not really welcome anywhere else." Thinking about the reasons he wasn't allowed anywhere else, Lucien stared at his feet quietly. That was the only reason he could think of, and actually something that was true. He did kind of live here, the small run-down shack he lived in off the the east a little ways. Thinking for another moment he waited for one of the two to say something.

"Thats to bad. It's that same for us. Except we don't live here we just...ow!" Ying glared at Yang angrily he cut her of by punching her in the arm.

"Is it really necessary for you to blab everything about us to total strangers?" Yang asked irritably.

"I'm just being friendly. And besides his voice is soo sexy!" Ying answered hopping the hot but strange guy would keep talking.

"You have got to be kidding me..."

Lucien's eyes grew wide and he was tempted to blush, but kept the heat away from his face. He found it somewhat funny, considering how young she was compared to him. Never had he heard his voice being called 'sexy'. Shaking his head lightly he smiled, a true smile, and laughed. "It's not nice to hit girls, and honestly, my voice is sexy. Admit it." The smile broadened and Lucien shook his head lightly, letting a laugh escape. It would keep him from exploding. He continued to shake his head, amazed at how bubbly and care-free this girl seemed to be. The headache had dulled down and Lucien blinked rapidly, folding his arms over his chest and striking a pose.

Ying smiled at the guy. She could tell he was blushing even though he tried to hide it.

"She is my sister, she doesn't count as a real girl." Yang joked and laughed. Despite the initial creepiness of the guy he did have a good sense of humor.

Ying added sarcastically. "No I'm fake, I'm really just a mud sculpture..."

Yang smiled but he was still ready in case the stranger or someone else tried to harm them.

Lucien was in his first good mood since last month. He was normally a grouch, but these two hadn't stepped on his one raw nerve yet. Looking at the two Lucien took the smile down a notch and stopped shaking his head. "Were you two the wolves in the cave?" The words were infused with curiousity, yellow eyes going from Ying to Yang over and over again. His eyes were bright and curious, happy and energetic. It was hard to tell how long this mood would be dominate.

Ying smiled "You bet. Cool trick huh?"

Yang sighed to himself knowing this was going to be a long day...

Quit your worrying. Ying said impatiently.

I have every right to worry! I'm the oldest.

By two seconds....Ying looked at Lucien. " So cutie what are you up to." She asked playfully.

Lucien thought about the words that escaped the girl's mouth before he said anything. He liked tothouroughly think things through before saying anything. "I have a few cool tricks myself." Lucien said this in his normal monotone, no emotion dominating. "I'm not really 'up to' anything. Not yet, at least." Lucien smiled and looked at the two, wondering what to do or say next. Expect the unexpected.
