A Relaxing Evening (Yumi)

Armageddon stared at his sister emotionlessly, looking blank and a little stupid. "I could only be a female to you, Ambrosia. Otherwise I am completely male. Just because you think that I act strangely doesn't nessacarily mean I'm the opposite gender." Armageddon walked over to Xander and handed him a cup of piping hot tea. He couldn't help it; he liked cooking and stuff. The whole macho act didn't appeal to him. If people didn't like him for who he was then they didn't have to like him.

Ambrosia shook her head and walked out into the kitchen, pouring herself a glass of tea and shuddering as another clap of thunder sounded. She really did not like storms. Why they had to involve thunder and lightning she had no idea, the rain she could stand. Some people liked storms. Those people she thought to be insane. Studying Xander for a moment she sighed and sat down at the kitchen table. "Whatever, I guess." Ambrosia was beginning to grow bored, thinking that it may be time for a nap.

Xander carefully lifted the cup to his lips and instinctively blew on the hot beverage. "Thanks." He said. It was tasty and warm. "Sorry but i don't understand. Why does she think your a girl? Did something happen when you were younger that made you lose it?" He asked in an innocently curious manner. Not realizing how stupid and impolite it sounded until after he said it. Embarrassed he quickly looked away.

Ambrosia sat at the table, pounding on it with her fist. She was laughing so hard that she was almost crying, tears welling up in her eyes. It wasn't a soft, innocent child's giggle; it was a loud, earsplitting guffaw. She was probably going to die of a lack of oxygen, for she wasn't trying to take a breath yet. She placed her head down on the table and her laughter was muffled slightly, making it less obnoxious. Xander was an amazing little clueless child.

Armageddon picked up a shirt from the floor, wadded it in a ball, and chucked it at Ambrosia. "Shut up. It was an innocent question. It's no laughing matter." Armageddon looked to Xander and took a sip of his tea. Thinking for a moment, he worded his explanation carefully. "Ambrosia calls me a female because her brain is confused. I don't think she can tell the difference between a male and a female. I am a male, nothing happened to it. I just like to do things that Ambrosia associates with women rather than men, like cooking. She thinks of cooking as something women do, not men." Armageddon hoped that this clarified it, not made it worse.

Xander looked awkwardly at Ambrosia not understanding why she was laughing. He was being serious. "oh ok." He said when Armageddon explained. Xander silently drank his tea while he pondered all the things he learned that day.

Ambrosia continued to laugh, her eyes bright and childish. The laughter quieted into giggles, which appeared less and less often. It was nice, though. She hadn't aughed like that for a while. Wiping a little tear from her eye she stared at Xander and shook her head. "You are awesome, kid." Grinning she looked to the ground and stamped her foot. Shaking her head she looked back up. This was kind of boring. Another crack of thunder sounded and Ambrosia shuddered, not liking the loud suddeness of it all.

Armageddon smiled when the thunder sounded, knowing that it scared the crap out of Ambrosia. Why the girl was so scared of storms he failed to see, but thought it fun all the same. Armageddon would only be like that toward his sister, not anyone else. To someone else it would be rude and inconsiderate. The boy took another sip of his tea and plopped down on the couch. Normally when someone did this the tea would splash all over, but when he did it, nothing like that happened.

"uh thanks" Xander said uncertainly. He wasn't sure if her laughing was good or bad yet. His question was so dumb and he felt ashamed for asking it. Even though they seemed ok with it. When finished his tea he looked at Armageddon. "where should i put this?" he asked holding up the cup.

Ambrosia sighed and placed a hand on her stomach. She didn't feel all that well. The thunder didn't help the nausea she was feeling, only adding to the sudden urge to throw up. Shoving the feeling to the back of her head she made her way to her bedroom, slamming the door behind her. "I'm going to sleep." This was said to her brother, but she didn't mind if Xander gave a hoot about what she did. It would be nice to have a sort of little brother.

Armageddon watched his sister with a blank look on his face. He could care less. When Xander asked what he was to do with the cup the elemental had to think for a moment. "I'll take that." Armageddon, gracefully and nimbly, took the cup from the boy and walked it over to the sink. "So. Would you like to do something... or something?" A small sense of boredom was creeping into the boy, kind of chilling him to the bone.

Xander watched Ambrosia go into her room. He wondered what it was like in there. What kind of stuff would she have? He quickly pushed the thought out of his mind and turned to Armageddon. "i don't know, what ever you want i guess." he answered not having a clue as to what there was to do in the siblings house.

Armageddon raised a brow at th boy. No suggestions? Curiouser and curiouser. Or perhaps it was just the elementals way of thinking. "I have no idea. The storm is still going on outside... It's just a little quiet in here. Normally Ambrosia's big mouth brings a little entertainment." Armageddon finished his tea and placed the cup in the sink. He turned around to face the boy again and smiled lightly. This was good while it lasted. The boy began to ponder whether or not Xander had a home to go to, or any family.

Xander looked at the ceiling again. Something didn't feel right, it all seemed to nice. Usually something happened by now to ruin things. His eyes went wide, Bob. His mind had been too pleasantly quiet for the day. Bob was up to something, that meant trouble. "Uh i should go." Xander said heading toward the door trying to think of a reasonable excuse to leave.

Bob was happily planning his forceful capturing of the body he and Xander shared. This was going to be interesting. It wasn't time to start pushing yet. Aww, c'mon! I just want to have a little fun!

Armageddon watched Xander carefully, wondering why he so suddenly had to go. It was curious, but he didn't want to interfere with anything. If he really wanted to help Xander he should leave him alone. After all, it wasn't his decisions to be made. Hopefully the boy would be all right, though. Armageddon also hoped Ambrosia wouldn't kill him for letting the boy go off like that.

Xander opened the door and took off running into the forest. His neck burning. Anxiously he looked around, he knew something wasn't right. The queen was here, he had no where to run. But at least she wouldn't find the siblings. He closed his eyes and waited for the inevitable.
